Tran Quyet Chien attacked strongly and won convincingly against Tolgahan Kiraz

With Tran Quyet Chien's fast scoring speed, the Turkish player seemed to have "lost control" in the first half and continuously missed easy shots. After 9 turns, Kiraz only scored 6 points. In the 9th turn, Quyet Chien scored 7 points to bring the match into the break with a gap of up to 24 points, leading 30-6.

No internal Vietnamese competition in the quarterfinals

Also in the round of 16 of the Seoul 2024 Billiards World Cup, Dao Van Ly will face Kim Jun-tae (Korea). Van Ly is in the same lower bracket as Quyet Chien, so fans are looking forward to an internal Vietnamese competition in the quarter-finals.

The Korean player started the game explosively, including a series of 11 points to create a large gap with Dao Van Ly. Kim Jun-tae led 18-3, 22-7, 28-13... Facing the opponent's dizzying scoring speed, the Vietnamese player played persistently. When Kim Jun-tae slowed down, Dao Van Ly broke away and gradually narrowed the gap. In the 18th round, Van Ly had a series of 8 points and the gap was only 3 points, leading 36-39.

Kim Jun-tae once caused a stir with a 28-point series in round 32, almost breaking the world record.

Under pressure from Van Ly, Kim Jun-tae showed his mettle by accelerating in the final rounds. The Korean player had a series of 6 to reach 49 points, before "closing the score" in the 22nd round, winning 50-38 against Dao Van Ly. Van Ly officially stopped in the round of 16, and fans could not witness the internal match between the two Vietnamese players in the quarterfinals.
