Phan Dinh Phung Street in the days of preparing to welcome the New Year of the Dragon, the atmosphere is bustling and joyful. The entire route has been renovated and upgraded to be modern, the technical infrastructure system is underground, the sidewalks are paved with clean and spacious stone, the green tree system is arranged with high aesthetics... The route has also invested in upgrading the drainage system synchronously, ensuring anti-flooding and meeting the requirements of planning management. This project belongs to the Phan Dinh Phung Street Infrastructure Upgrade and Renovation Project invested by Ha Tinh City, creating a breakthrough in urban renovation in 2023.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich, a resident living on Phan Dinh Phung Street, said: “During the final stage of the project implementation, from government leaders at all levels to construction units, they were constantly present to urge people to celebrate Tet and enjoy spring. The project was completed right at the moment of the new year, becoming a special milestone in the urban development of Ha Tinh City. For us, it is like a good signal for new beginnings, building a better, higher quality life.”

In 2023, Ha Tinh City will invest resources to renovate 10 central roads. The roads will be renovated and upgraded with synchronous drainage systems combined with underground technical infrastructure and sidewalk renovation. There are times when the whole city is like a large construction site, Xuan Dieu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Duan, Nguyen Cong Tru, Nguyen Hoanh Tu streets... are all bustling with construction.

The city government has also invested tens of billions of dong to renovate three-way and four-way intersections; build traffic bays in front of school gates; and allocate resources to build school facilities, becoming a highlight for urban spaces...

In the brilliant spring, the urban appearance of Ha Tinh City is ablaze with fresh colors. Many roads and streets are decorated with colorful flower carpets, New Year welcome signs, and check-in areas create highlights. The breakthrough transformation of urban infrastructure not only demonstrates the breakthrough efforts in leadership and direction of the Party Committee and government to bring a better life to the people, but also the journey to build a foundation to connect with strategic infrastructure, bringing the city to a new step of development - expanding urban space.

From the suburbs, strategic traffic infrastructure projects such as: Sub-project of the road connecting the DT.550 intersection of Ngo Quyen Street under the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi component project (construction project of the North - South expressway in the East phase 2021-2025); extended Xuan Dieu Street, from the Northern urban area perimeter road to Ngo Quyen Street; Eastern belt road; Project to renovate the road surface, improve the technical infrastructure of Quang Trung Street from Nguyen Huy Lung Street to Ho Do Bridge and add 1 unit of Ho Do Bridge have clearly taken shape.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hieu - Chairman of the City People's Committee said: “After the COVID-19 pandemic, facing many difficulties and challenges, especially slow economic growth and limited investment resources, with the spirit of innovation and creativity, the city has diversified resource mobilization, focusing on accelerating renovation projects and key investment projects to create breakthroughs in urban infrastructure development, contributing to improving the quality of life and convenience for people, creating a premise for expanding the city space. In particular, the Priority Infrastructure and Urban Development Project adapting to climate change in Ha Tinh City (ADB loan) is continuing to be accelerated, ensuring connectivity with neighboring areas in the province; connecting the central urban area and functional areas, integrating with strategic traffic routes of the country and the province. Thanks to that, the city will have more opportunities to promote socio-economic development".

Breakthrough to develop to your full potential

The Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term determined that Ha Tinh City strives to become one of the centers of the North Central region. The determination has become the strength of action in the entire Party and people. From the tree planting program; the movement to build civilized urban areas, model civilized wards, build new rural areas; develop economic models... all received consensus and unanimity from the entire political system and the people.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Duong Tat Thang shared that thanks to the attention, support and facilitation of mechanisms, policies and resources from the Central Government and the province, the city has implemented key and strategic tasks comprehensively and effectively and has been trusted by the people. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has directed Party committees and authorities at all levels to implement many solutions to increase the effectiveness of socio-economic development; attract infrastructure investment, create motivation to "activate" the intelligence and resources of the people in the development of the city. In particular, through many specific methods and programs, the Party committees and authorities have spread the message of enhancing responsibility and love for the city to every cadre, party member and citizen. From there, it has created great strength in will, mobilizing resources to accompany the government in building a developed and civilized city; the people of Thanh Sen are rich in culture.

Up to now, Ha Tinh City has mobilized hundreds of billions of VND from businesses and people to contribute to building civilized urban areas, new rural areas, developing urban agriculture, planting trees, building houses for policy families and poor households; solving many "bottlenecks" in site clearance, speeding up the progress of key projects, creating trust for investors; clearing violations of urban order, building civilized model roads; organizing many festivals and cultural activities, which have been well received by the people.

The streets in Ha Tinh city are filled with flags and flowers on the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In 2023, the growth rate of the city's total production value is estimated at 11.9%, in which the trade and service sector continues to be the main driving force. Dong Mon commune has completed the construction of a commune meeting advanced NTM standards. In particular, the green tree program has created a great spread, by the end of 2023, the whole city has planted more than 95,221 trees, exceeding the set plan (by 2025, it will be 100,000 trees)...

The above results are a solid foundation for Ha Tinh City to enter 2024 with many expectations of breakthroughs, completing the 5-year plan 2021-2025, developing the city to be worthy of the "heart" of the province and becoming one of the centers of the North Central region. The city sets a target of a production value growth rate of over 12%; total social development investment capital of 7,900 billion VND. Focus on implementing the Provincial Planning task according to the Pilot Project on building smart cities until 2025, with a vision to 2030; adjusting the general planning of Ha Tinh City and surrounding areas until 2045, with a vision to 2060. Continue to accelerate key projects associated with upgrading, renovating urban infrastructure and expanding administrative boundaries to ensure the development roadmap and orientation; promote socio-economic development.

The colors of spring fill the streets of Thanh Sen. Spring is the harmony of heaven and earth, and like all the people of the city, their own joy is in harmony with the common joy, with expectations and confidence in the strong breakthrough to become a big city.
