Voters listened to members of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation report on the expected content of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly; and a summary report of responses from ministries, branches and Hanoi City to voters' opinions and recommendations during the previous meeting.

Voters propose practical issues

At the meeting, voters highly appreciated the improved quality of the fourth session of the National Assembly. During the question and answer session, ministers of various sectors answered directly and directly to the issues raised by delegates and the people's concerns, without avoiding them, and provided solutions to overcome existing shortcomings.

Expressing their confidence in the Party and State's popular guidelines and policies, voters said that under the leadership of the Party, the participation of the entire political system, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government, the Prime Minister has resolutely managed and achieved many important results in socio-economic development. In particular, in recent times, the great national unity bloc has continued to be strengthened and expanded; people's lives have improved, and economic development has had many positive changes.

Voters believe that foreign affairs have been promoted, and Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena have been increasingly enhanced. This is one of the important factors to maintain peace, stability, and national construction and development.

Voters and people agree and highly appreciate the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity that continues to be promoted, with many new, positive, synchronous and more effective changes both at the central and local levels. With the spirit of "resolute, persistent, relentless, without stopping, no forbidden zones, no exceptions, regardless of who the person is", many cases have been investigated and handled promptly and quickly, enhancing people's trust in the Party's leadership.

At the meeting, voters wished to further promote the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, increase sanctions, ensure strictness and deterrence; build and implement mechanisms to control the power of people in positions of authority to prevent and combat corruption and negativity, and pay attention to salary reform so that officials do not dare to be corrupt, cannot be corrupt, do not need and do not want to be corrupt.

Voters suggested that it is necessary to rectify and immediately overcome the manifestations of shirking, avoiding, working half-heartedly, and being afraid of making mistakes among a number of cadres and party members, especially leaders and managers at all levels. The Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity at the provincial and municipal levels should continue to operate with the motto of "preventing early and from afar to prevent and limit opportunities for corruption and negativity".

Regarding food safety, voters suggested that state management agencies should strengthen inspection and supervision; resolutely handle businesses and individuals trading in dirty and toxic food. Consider increasing penalties for businesses and individuals trading in dirty food and expired food. In addition to heavy fines, they should be prosecuted and strictly tried to serve as a deterrent.

Voters suggested continuing to improve legal regulations on the use of social networks, directing ministries, branches and functional agencies to strengthen management, detection and handling of violations, and stepping up propaganda, guidance and information to the people about fraudulent tricks and malicious information. Functional agencies should strengthen measures to prevent and eradicate the use of social networks to defraud and appropriate assets of individuals and groups.

In addition, voters also made recommendations on the Land Law (Amended); further strengthening State management of production and trade; needing solutions to stabilize market prices; scientific research at the local level...

Continue to build the country and the capital to develop and grow.

As a member of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong respectfully accepted the voters' concise, focused, profound, dedicated and responsible opinions.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong pointed out that the National Assembly performs its functions, builds laws, conducts supreme supervision and decides on major and important issues of the country. National Assembly deputies are elected by the people, are responsible to the people, under the leadership of the Party and supervision of the people. From the opinions of voters, National Assembly deputies must seriously absorb and must be responsible for reflecting them in the discussion sessions at the National Assembly.

Discussing some issues of concern to voters, the General Secretary reiterated: "With all modesty, we can still say that: Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today", which is increasingly proven to be true in practice. To continue promoting these results, we must well implement the Party's leadership, the State's management and the people's mastery. The National Assembly as well as the political system must continue to listen to and respect the people's opinions, and protect the people's legitimate rights.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stated that the results achieved in recent times continue to affirm the determination of the Party and State in the fight against corruption and negativity, which has been agreed upon, supported and highly appreciated by public opinion and the people. Many major, long-standing cases have been basically handled. To effectively prevent and combat corruption and negativity, it is necessary to carry out the task of building and rectifying the Party well; to combat the degradation of political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, which is the root of the problem. Recently, in addition to prosecution and trial, in some cases where these individuals realized their mistakes, they have resigned, retired or withdrawn with honor. The Central Committee still encourages this approach because of the spirit of humanity, benevolence, humanity and humanity.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that the provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities must operate in an orderly and effective manner with the spirit of mobilizing the entire population to participate in preventing and combating corruption and negative activities.
