On the evening of September 12, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) published 12,028 pages of statements of donations from groups and individuals to people affected by storm No. 3.
Based on this statement, netizens pointed out that Viet Anh Pi Po (real name Phung Viet Anh) - a TikToker with more than 1.3 million followers - transferred 1 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front but previously published a screenshot of the transaction (with the transfer amount hidden) which looked like tens of millions of VND.

Dan Tri reporter contacted Viet Anh, the male TikToker's manager said he admitted his wrongdoings and the team is currently working and apologizing to the parties that are cooperating with Viet Anh.
"Viet Anh has also apologized to everyone, accepting public outrage over his actions. Now, he just wants to apologize to everyone and there is nothing more he can do to "save" that action," Viet Anh's manager informed.
In the apology clip posted on the morning of September 13, the male TikToker admitted that his behavior was "outrageous" and vulgar, making him feel very embarrassed when looking back.
Viet Anh said that when he read comments from netizens about the contradiction between the amount he posted and the amount the Vietnam Fatherland Front publicly announced, the male TikToker was extremely embarrassed and his first action was to transfer back to the Vietnam Fatherland Front the amount of 20 million VND as originally planned.

After a few hours of posting, the male TikToker's clip attracted nearly 2 million views and more than 14 thousand comments. Viet Anh affirmed that he would not delete any comments or criticisms because these are suggestions and lessons for him to improve.
In addition, he also said that to review himself, in September, every day he will transfer 1 million VND to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in flood-affected areas.
However, many people think that even though he apologized, Viet Anh blamed someone else for transferring the money, showing a lack of responsibility for his own mistakes.
