That was the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the national online conference summarizing the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work in 2024 and deploying tasks for 2025, which took place this afternoon, December 19.

In 2024, under the close and timely leadership of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees, Party organizations and Inspection Commissions at all levels, we will continue to focus on leadership and direction to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels.

At the same time, strengthen leadership, direction, and comprehensive implementation of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement tasks according to the Party Charter with increasingly improved quality, effectiveness, and efficiency, actively contributing to the work of Party building and rectification; maintain discipline, fight against and prevent ideological and political degradation, lifestyle ethics, corruption, waste, and negativity; and consolidate people's trust in the Party, State, and regime.

Party committees at all levels inspected 55,075 party organizations and 308,028 party members (including 72,716 party committee members, accounting for 23.61%). The Politburo and the Secretariat established 10 inspection teams led by Politburo members and Party Central Committee Secretaries to inspect 20 party organizations in their leadership, direction and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the implementation of Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling and strictly handling cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".

Local Party Committees and units inspected 55,055 Party organizations and 308,028 Party members. The inspection focused on the implementation of resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations, and working rules of the Party; State policies and laws; implementation of things that Party members are not allowed to do; implementation of the Party's organizational and operational principles; and performance of Party member and Party Committee member duties.

The inspection shows that Party committees and organizations at all levels have basically seriously deployed and thoroughly implemented the Party's resolutions, directives, conclusions and regulations; promoted the spirit of solidarity and democracy, and strengthened unity within the Party. However, there are still a few Party organizations and Party members who have not strictly implemented the principle of democratic centralism, working regulations, and exemplary responsibility, especially in performing assigned duties and tasks.

Inspection committees at all levels inspected the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks for 33,546 party organizations, of which 1,854 party organizations did not perform well the inspection and supervision tasks, 1,574 party organizations did not do well the leadership and direction of the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks, and 518 party organizations did not have an inspection and supervision program.

In 2025, the Inspection Committee at all levels will focus on key tasks, which are: Party committees, Party organizations, Inspection Committees at all levels, especially leaders, need to further improve awareness and responsibility for inspection and supervision work.

Continue to strictly implement the regulations, rules and instructions of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Inspection Commission on inspection, supervision and party discipline. Strengthen leadership, direction, implementation and guidance of lower-level Party committees, Party organizations and Inspection Commissions in carrying out inspection, supervision and party discipline.

Continue to seriously, promptly and effectively implement the directions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees at all levels, the Central and provincial Steering Committees on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Implement well the coordination mechanism between the Inspection Commission and the State's inspection, auditing, investigation, prosecution and trial agencies in the work of inspection, supervision and prevention of corruption, waste and negativity.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam requested the Central Inspection Commission to continue to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work of the Party. Coordinate with the advisory body of the Party Committee to arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus, build the Inspection Commission and Inspection Commission agencies at all levels to be truly streamlined, effective and efficient, and prepare sufficient personnel for the Inspection Commission for the next term, with special attention to quality, to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Timely and effectively implement digital transformation, promote the application of information technology in the inspection sector.

Timely review, amend, supplement, and perfect the regulations, rules, guidelines, and procedures on inspection, supervision, and discipline work of the Party to ensure consistency, strictness, and conformity with the organizational model after the reorganization. Strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Focus on thoroughly resolving complaints and denunciations before the 14th National Party Congress.
