In a solid house that was supported to be built since 2024, the family of Mr. Sung Mi Sang, Sua Lung village, Ta Phin commune, now has less difficulty. Mr. Sang shared: My family has 4 siblings, my father died early, my mother got married, so the 4 siblings depended on each other. When each person built their own family, although they worked hard and supported each other, it was still difficult to build a house. With the support of the Party and the State, my own family now has a small but solid house. I have applied to work as a worker in Hai Phong city to have a stable income. My family has also received capital support to buy 5 goats, which are growing well. Thanks to the timely attention of the local Party Committee and government, my family will try to do business, hoping that life will be stable.

Comrade Ly Ngoc Long, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ta Phin commune, said: Ta Phin is a poor commune of Dong Van district, 100% of which are Mong ethnic people. The whole commune has 751 households with over 3,846 people, of which poor households account for 68.71%. Implementing the Party's policy on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households with housing difficulties, in 2023 and 2024, the commune has built 34 houses for poor households. In 2025, the plan is to repair and build 28 new houses. Up to now, all houses have begun construction, ensuring the right schedule, in time for people to move in before the rainy season.

According to the report of the professional agency, in Dong Van district, the total number of temporary and dilapidated houses approved by the Provincial People's Committee is 521, of which 387 houses were newly built and 134 houses were repaired. Specifically, the number of temporary and dilapidated houses approved for support according to Directive No. 42 of the Prime Minister on accelerating the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide is 89 houses, completed before the Lunar New Year of At Ty; 70/89 households have built additional auxiliary items such as: water tanks, bathrooms, toilets, 19 houses are continuing to implement. In addition to 89 houses supported under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister, the district mobilized over 2.1 billion VND from social resources to support 35 households in especially difficult circumstances to complete their houses before the Lunar New Year 2025. In 2025, the district will continue to build 432 houses for poor and near-poor households supported under the National Target Program. To date, the district has advanced 50% of the funding from the district budget for 353 households to implement. By the end of April, 230 households had started construction, and 35 had completed and put into use.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of Dong Van District Party Committee, said: In the past time, implementing the policy of promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, hundreds of households in the district have received housing support; this is a major, humane and practical policy, with the hope that all households with housing difficulties will be supported. In addition to promoting the leadership role of the Party Committee, the commune and town authorities, the district also mobilizes resources and human resources from organizations and individuals inside and outside the area to support households with especially difficult circumstances to implement. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to prepare well the conditions of human resources and materials to start construction simultaneously. Strive to start construction of 353/353 houses in the district by April 30, 2025; by June 30, they will complete and put them into use. During the implementation process, the district also directed specialized departments to coordinate to strengthen inspection and supervision of the disbursement of funds to ensure the right subjects and the right roadmap. In particular, ensuring traditional architecture according to the design model issued by the district.
