Received 3 wild animals for care and rescue

Hoang Lien Tourism and Wildlife Conservation Center (Hoang Lien National Park, Lao Cai province) has just received 3 wild animals handed over by the Hung Yen Provincial Forest Protection Department for rescue, care and release back into the wild.

Hoang Lien Tourism and Wildlife Conservation Center received 3 wild animals handed over by the Hung Yen Provincial Forest Protection Department.

The three wild animals included: 1 pygmy loris ( scientific name Xanthonycticebus pygmaeus, group IB) weighing about 0.5 kg; 1 golden mountain tortoise (scientific name Indotestudo elongata, group IIB), weighing 0.227 kg and 1 macaque (scientific name Macaca assamensis, group IIB), weighing about 10-13 kg.

These rare wild animals were voluntarily handed over by people in Hung Yen province.

According to the Hoang Lien Tourism and Conservation Center, the individuals are currently in stable health and have been placed in quarantine for monitoring and care according to rescue procedures. After a period of care, if they meet health requirements, the individuals will be released back into their natural habitat.

People's voluntary handover of wild animals is important in biodiversity conservation, contributing to the protection of endangered animal species, and demonstrating a sense of responsibility towards nature.

In recent times, the rescue and conservation of endangered wild animals at Hoang Lien Tourism and Wildlife Conservation Center has had many positive changes, demonstrating the Center's role in preserving biodiversity and raising community awareness.

Close coordination between local forest rangers and national parks contributes to an effective nationwide wildlife protection network.

Since the beginning of the year, Hoang Lien Tourism and Wildlife Conservation Center has received 32 cases with a total of 40 wild animals handed over, mainly endangered and rare species that are prioritized for protection.
