Overseas Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen An Khanh is one of the most notable faces in the June training session of the Vietnam U.23 team. He is currently playing for U.19 Sigma Olomouc (Czech Republic), playing as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder.

Khanh is 100% Vietnamese, with his father being from Nghe An and his mother from Hanoi. The midfielder, born in 2005, inherited his father's passion for football and started joining a training center at the age of 7. Not long ago, the 18-year-old player was also called up to the Czech Republic U.18 team.

Talking about the opportunity to wear the U.23 Vietnam shirt, An Khanh revealed: "Coach Troussier's assistant talked to my father. After being informed of the opportunity to wear the U.23 Vietnam shirt, I felt very happy. In the Czech Republic, I was only on the list of the U.18 national team, so when I returned to Vietnam to play for the U.23 team, I was very happy.

When they heard that my name was on the list of U.23 Vietnam, my parents and relatives were very happy. They called to congratulate and encourage me. Vietnam is my family's homeland. That's why I want to return to my homeland to try my hand at football," An Khanh said about the reason for wanting to wear the U.23 Vietnam shirt.

Regarding U.23 Vietnam, An Khanh said he had researched the team as well as coach Troussier. "I watched how the U.23 Vietnam players played and learned about their names. I found that I was quite suitable for the U.23 Vietnam style of play and coach Troussier's tactics. At U.19 Sigma Olomouc, I also played the 3-4-3 formation many times. I also played the 3-5-2 formation. In the 3-4-3 formation, I can play as a central midfielder, left or right midfielder, and also as a central striker."

This morning (June 6), Nguyen An Khanh began traveling from the Czech Republic to Vietnam. It is expected that today, this 18-year-old Vietnamese midfielder will be present and join the Vietnam U.23 team.
