The meeting aimed to evaluate the results of the temporary housing demolition and inspect projects that are behind schedule and slow to put land into use in the area, and discuss solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles.
List of projects behind schedule
The leader of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee said that in recent times, the district has drastically implemented the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to improving living conditions for people, especially poor households and policy families. To date, the locality has completed the construction and repair of 111 houses with a total cost of nearly 4 billion VND, achieving a disbursement rate of 100%.
The funding source is mobilized from the provincial budget, organizations, businesses and contributions from officials and civil servants. However, there are still 47 houses of disadvantaged households that need support to rebuild or repair, due to deterioration.
The leaders of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee also reported on a number of projects in the district that are facing difficulties in implementation. In particular, the Phuoc An New Urban Area project (Tien Ky town) is behind schedule due to the lack of timely resettlement land for residents. The Flood Avoidance Road project connecting Tien Ky inner city with National Highway 40B is facing difficulties in site clearance.
For the Xai Mua Dam project (Tien Lanh commune), site clearance is facing difficulties due to land disputes between some households. At the Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House relic conservation project, compensation and site clearance for the remaining three households in the relic site have not been completed.
Regarding the Central Region Link Road project through Tien Phuoc, the locality has not completed site clearance because many households have not agreed on the compensation level.
In addition, Tien Phuoc is also facing many difficulties related to the Ho Khe lake project (Tien Lanh commune), Suoi Tho lake (Tien Phong commune), 110kV transformer station and connection.
Urgent removal
At the meeting, representatives of Tien Phuoc District People's Committee and relevant agencies were asked to report specifically on the difficulties for each project and solutions to overcome them.
Listening to opinions from local authorities, departments and branches and suggestions from Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung at the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the efforts of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Tien Phuoc district in eliminating temporary houses and implementing investment projects.
The Provincial Party Secretary commended the efforts of the locality and all levels and sectors in eliminating temporary housing, closely following the locality, and understanding the actual situation to effectively implement social security policies. At the same time, he acknowledged the synchronous mobilization of the entire political system, contributing to improving people's lives.
However, in addition to the achieved results, there is still a situation of wasteful land use, although not much, but there needs to be a radical solution. Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that if there is no innovation in the way of doing things, thinking about direction and management, there will be many difficulties in implementing the upcoming development goals.
[VIDEO] - Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet spoke at the meeting:
Therefore, the requirement for all levels and sectors is to act more drastically, strongly and decisively; to enhance the sense of responsibility of each level and sector according to decentralization and authorization.
Leadership and direction need to be innovated according to the "5 clear" principle to ensure more specificity, closeness, and directness in performing tasks. If the work is general and lacks focus, the effectiveness will not be high. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee must delve into practice, assign responsibility to each comrade, and at the same time evaluate the performance of each person.
"In addition, it is necessary to attach personal responsibility to the deadline for completing tasks. Each comrade in the Standing Committee must have a clear "deadline" for each assigned task, avoiding stagnation and inefficiency. Only with close supervision, specific responsibilities and strong determination to innovate, can we achieve substantial results, meeting development requirements" - Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said.
In the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Standing Committee of Tien Phuoc District Party Committee to direct the District People's Committee to continue to thoroughly review public and private investment projects to have a complete report. Authorities at all levels must actively participate, with a clear division of personnel to effectively implement tasks.
During the implementation process, it is necessary to carefully study the directive documents from the Central and the province, ensuring proper implementation of regulations. The investor must closely coordinate with local authorities to promptly remove obstacles, especially issues related to policies and guidelines, thereby speeding up the project's construction progress...
Previously, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and the working delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lanh (child of a martyr, in Tien Phu Dong village, Tien My commune) and the family of Ms. Tran Thi Trang (near-poor household, in Tien Binh block, Tien Ky town, Tien Phuoc). These are two policy households that received support to repair their houses and demolish temporary houses in Tien Phuoc district.
