Pioneer in technology application

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Thu Huong, Political Commissar of the Factory, introduced that this is the success of the Project "Research and design of the Production Command Center" chaired by Colonel Pham Duc Giang, Factory Director. The project won first prize in the 4th Competition "Themes and initiatives among cadres, union members, civil servants, and workers of the entire army, period 2016-2021" and the 13th Competition "Creative products and topics" in the Air Defense - Air Force Service in 2021.

Talking about the reason for the birth of the topic, Colonel Truong Xuan Bach, former Director of the Factory, said that in 2019, when receiving the task assigned by the Army Corps to build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit, comrade Giang proposed the idea of ​​digitizing management, command and operation work. The Party Committee of the Factory discussed and agreed to make the task of digitizing production command and operation activities a focus of the Party Committee's leadership and assigned comrade Giang to be in charge of implementation. Colonel Pham Duc Giang confided: "When starting to work, many problems arose, from selecting personnel to participate in the topic, choosing a software development plan, preparing steps to implement the management system, command and operation of the Factory and the working process of agencies, workshops... After more than a year of diligent research and study with many sleepless nights, the topic was completed".

Colonel Pham Duc Giang has been with Factory A31 for 29 years, holding many positions until becoming the head of the unit. He is one of the senior engineers of the Air Defense - Air Force Service with extensive working experience and many admirable achievements. Over the years, Colonel Pham Duc Giang and the technical staff of the Factory have researched many products to meet the needs of repairing new generation air defense missile equipment, contributing to improving the technological capacity of the Factory.

Recently, Colonel Pham Duc Giang was the main member of the research team of the State-level project "Research, design, and manufacture of a target flying at a speed of up to 200m/s using a solid-fuel rocket engine", which has been initially accepted with good results. From 2019 to present, he has directly directed the repair of 1,706 products. The quality of the products after repair always ensures technical standards, and is highly appreciated by the acceptance councils at all levels. In addition, Comrade Giang has directed the effective implementation of many tasks of major projects invested by the Air Defense - Air Force Service, contributing to ensuring technical equipment for training and combat readiness tasks.

Colonel Ha Tien Thuy, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Factory A31, said: “Comrade Pham Duc Giang is a pioneer commander with many practical ideas in applying technology to professional activities. Every year, the Factory has hundreds of valuable topics and initiatives implemented, contributing to solving difficulties in repairing technical equipment, especially ensuring technical supplies for new equipment. Colonel Pham Duc Giang was awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the whole army (2023) along with many certificates of merit and awards from all levels.”
