Import and export tax reached over 7,300 billion VND

As of November 18, Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department collected more than 7,300 billion VND in import and export taxes, reaching 66.6% of the assigned estimate and down 12.8% over the same period in 2022.

According to statistics from the Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department, since the beginning of the year, the unit has opened 13,508 customs declarations (an increase of 8.6% over the same period in 2022) and completed entry and exit procedures for 104,670 vehicles (an increase of 25.7% over the same period in 2022).

The budget revenue of Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department decreased compared to the same period in 2022 due to the general difficulties of the world economy affecting import and export activities through border gates in the province. Road 8 in Bolikhamxay province (Laos) was eroded, affecting the trading activities of enterprises through Cau Treo International Border Gate. On the other hand, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Joint Stock Company and Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Company Limited reduced imports of machinery, raw materials, etc., which strongly affected the budget revenue results of Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department.

Currently, Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department is focusing on urging units to effectively implement tax and value policies and budget collection work; ensuring budget collection on schedule and according to the set plan, striving to achieve the estimated targets assigned by the Central and local governments.
