Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made this message during a dialogue with young people on the afternoon of March 24 with the theme "Vietnamese youth pioneering the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation".

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnamese youth carry the blood of Lac Hong, the most physically and mentally vigorous force, representing intelligence, aspiration, passion and dedication. Throughout the history of the nation, the generation of Vietnamese youth has always contributed to the development of the country, participated in movements, sacrificed themselves for the Fatherland, and strived to achieve high achievements in study and work.

Creating conditions for youth to develop their capacity

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Party and State's policy is to create conditions for everyone to maximize their capacity and "have room to show their abilities" according to their abilities.

In fact, there have been many education and training policies aimed at fostering knowledge for youth development. The three dialogues between the Prime Minister and the youth clearly demonstrated the Government's interest and expectations for the future generation of the country.

During the dialogue, the Prime Minister raised three questions: What are the young people's feelings about the work of building and protecting the Fatherland? Do you have any concerns or worries about what we are doing? And what suggestions do you have for rapid, sustainable development, promoting the country for the happiness and prosperity of the people?

With the theme "Pioneering in the development of science and technology, innovation", the Prime Minister said the country is entering a new era with the requirement of achieving 8% growth this year and double digits in the coming years. Particularly important is the implementation of the strategic goal of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country and the Party.

The Prime Minister emphasized the important role of youth in realizing the country's development policies and goals.

According to him, young people are the vanguard and core force, with unlimited creativity, the ability to quickly access and master science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation - key factors contributing to making Vietnam strong and prosperous.

As evidence for this, the Prime Minister said that recently, young people have clearly demonstrated their pioneering role in innovation and digital transformation.

Many start-up projects, start-ups, and AI applications have attracted millions of USD in investment and made practical contributions to practice.

The digital startup movement has also been promoted with knowledge sharing platforms, and many digital businesses founded by young people have achieved remarkable success.

The Prime Minister shared that he attends startup programs every year and always sees the vision and aspiration shining in the eyes of young people.

To date, the creative startup movement has grown strongly among young people, realizing 59,000 ideas and initiatives with a total value of up to 111 billion VND.

At the same time, millions of young people have actively participated in digital skills training courses and accessed new technologies.

Preserving culture, realizing aspirations

Young people have made an important contribution to preserving and promoting national cultural identity through digital technology. The Prime Minister specifically mentioned the MV Bac Bling by singer Hoa Minzy as a typical example of internationalizing traditional cultural products.

However, the Prime Minister also pointed out many challenges facing the young generation: high-quality human resources have not met requirements, fierce competition in the labor market, the startup ecosystem still has many barriers, and digital infrastructure has not been properly invested.

To remove these bottlenecks, the Government will focus on three main tasks: perfecting institutions; developing science and technology infrastructure and digital transformation; and training high-quality young human resources.

The Prime Minister called on young people to realize their aspirations and turn innovative thinking into specific projects and works in the spirit of "turning the impossible into possible".

At the same time, the head of the Government requested that local ministries and branches need to have policies to encourage, facilitate and place orders with young people in the technology field, continue dialogue and create venture capital funds for young people.

In addition, the Youth Union needs to continue to lead and launch many practical movements, focusing on three areas: learning foreign languages, building a green - clean - beautiful living environment and learning basic sciences.
