On the APMoller - Maersk Group side, in addition to the Global Executive Vice President, there were also the Director of External Relations for the Mekong region and the Director of Investment and Growth for the Asia and Middle East region of the Group.

In particular, the two sides issued a Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam - Denmark Green Strategic Partnership framework (established in November 2023), which is a new driving force to promote the bilateral relationship to develop more strongly in all areas towards green and sustainable development.

The Deputy Minister said that Vietnam has more than 3,200 km of coastline and is among the 20 economies with the largest international trade scale. Vietnam is promoting the development of transport infrastructure, including maritime transport infrastructure and shipping fleets to reduce high logistics costs and increase the competitiveness of goods and the economy. Currently, Vietnam is aiming for sustainable economic development, in which the logistics and maritime transport services industry plays an important role in connecting the global supply chain and promoting the import and export of goods. Increasing the effective implementation of "green, clean" energy is one of the top priorities of the Vietnamese Government in many sectors and fields, in the context that the transport industry still has a large amount of emissions, accounting for more than a quarter of the country's emissions. The Vietnamese Government, through specific strategies and policies, always encourages and facilitates international businesses such as Maersk to invest in advanced projects, especially initiatives that contribute to reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and protecting the environment.

On the side of APMoller - Maersk Group, Ms. Caroline Pontoppidan also highly appreciated the achievements of the Vietnamese Government in improving the business environment, facilitating foreign investors as well as efforts in digital transformation and green transformation towards sustainable development goals as well as the goals committed at the COP26 Conference of Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has submitted to the Government for consideration and promulgation the Strategy for developing Vietnam's logistics services for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050, creating favorable conditions for businesses operating in the logistics services sector and requesting APMoller - Maersk Group to share advanced management technologies to contribute to the modernization of Vietnam's logistics industry./.
