As reported by Dan Tri newspaper, the Economic Police Department, Phu Tho Provincial Police, has just presided over and coordinated with relevant units to inspect the production facility of MQ Food Company Limited (formerly Cuong Huong Company Limited), in Village 1, Vinh Hung Commune, Phu Tho Province (formerly Dai Dong Commune, Vinh Tuong District, Vinh Phuc Province).
Initially, the agency determined that all the raw materials were frozen buffalo and pork imported from India, most of which were of unknown origin and had no invoices or documents. During the inspection, some shipments in the cold storage gave off a foul odor.
According to the image of the buffalo jerky product announced by the authorities, the product packaging bears the brand name of Cuong Huong Company Limited, located at No. 22, Alley 15, Lane 200 Minh Khai, Ha Giang City (old) with the words "highland specialty".

The product packaging is printed with a HACCP certificate (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points for Food, recognized as a food safety quality management system worldwide) along with a QR code.
According to records, on the evening of August 11, MQ Food's dried buffalo meat and dried pork products were still widely sold on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok Shop and a number of other product introduction websites.
For example, on the Shopee e-commerce platform, a stall sells buffalo jerky at VND159,000 for 200 grams and VND260,000 for 500 grams. These products have received hundreds of sales and comments. Notably, this price is much lower than the listed price of VND800,000-900,000/kg in many places.
On the TikTok Shop e-commerce platform, it was noted that on the evening of August 11, although MQ Food's booth was hidden, many other booths were still selling this brand's buffalo jerky and pork jerky. Some booths even deleted product packaging images.
Many sellers introduce MQ Food's smoked pork as having guaranteed quality, made from fresh pork, hand-processed, without preservatives; pre-processed and a specialty of the Northwest. However, as of the morning of August 12, many stores have hidden/deleted this product from the shopping cart.

Police determined that from 2020 to present, the owner of this company has used more than 1,000 tons of frozen meat to produce about 400 tons of dried meat, earning an estimated revenue of more than 100 billion VND.
Previously, at a press conference on the morning of August 11, Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of Phu Tho Provincial Police, said that when cracking down on this case, the authorities discovered a village participating in the production of fake buffalo jerky.
The input amounted to several thousand tons, mostly Indian buffalo meat, but was “magically” transformed into Ha Giang buffalo meat. After being raided by the police, all production facilities in that village stopped operating.
