Attending the ceremony were comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; former leaders of Bac Thai, Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan provinces; representatives of Military Region 1; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor; leaders of provincial departments, branches, armed forces, and youth union members. The ceremony was connected online to 92 connecting points in communes and wards in the province.

The speech of Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung at the Commemoration Ceremony reviewed the glorious history of the nation. He emphasized that the August Revolution in 1945 was a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, marking the complete collapse of the feudal colonial regime, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first people's democratic state in Southeast Asia.

Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan - lands with rich revolutionary traditions have made an important contribution to the overall victory of the nation. On the afternoon of August 20, 1945, a large rally took place at Thai Nguyen Town Stadium, comrade Vo Nguyen Giap, on behalf of the National Uprising Committee, announced the establishment of the Provisional People's Revolutionary Government of Thai Nguyen province with comrade Le Trung Dinh as Chairman. Then, on August 25, 1945, the people of Bac Kan rose up to seize power, establishing a revolutionary government with comrade Nong Van Lac as Chairman. The victory in Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan contributed significantly to the success of the General Uprising throughout the country.

Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces have undergone many separations and mergers during the country's development periods. On June 12, 2025, the 15th National Assembly passed Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025; accordingly, the entire natural area and population of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces will be arranged into a new province called Thai Nguyen province and will officially come into operation from July 1, 2025.
Looking back over the past 80 years, we are proud of the achievements we have made. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the province's economic growth will average 7.3%/year; GRDP per capita in 2025 will reach 119 million VND, 1.5 times higher than in 2020; state budget revenue in the area will increase from 16,440 billion VND in 2020 to 24,735 billion VND in 2025; the private economy will develop rapidly with 13,044 enterprises.
From 2020 to present, Thai Nguyen has always been in the top localities with the highest export turnover in the country with a total annual export value of 26 - 31 billion USD. The security, order and social safety situation has been maintained stably, social policies have been given attention and fully implemented, and the lives of people in the province continue to be guaranteed. The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, supporting housing for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs has been actively implemented. To date, 7,406/6,953 households have been approved to start new construction and support (reaching 106.5% of the plan); exceeding the schedule required by the Prime Minister.

Entering a new development stage, continuing the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, with the will and aspiration to reach far, with new thinking and ways of doing, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province are determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, towards the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress; exploiting well the potential and advantages, ensuring political security, becoming an attractive destination for investors, making Thai Nguyen a modern industrial center with high average income before 2030, striving to become a developed province with high income before 2045.
To realize that goal, with the viewpoint that "people are the root", the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Nguyen province will unite and focus on 7 key groups of tasks: Continuing to build and rectify the Party and the political system; focusing on synchronous investment in socio-economic infrastructure, especially transportation and digital infrastructure; promoting administrative reform, improving the investment environment, developing the private economy; restructuring agriculture towards high technology associated with cultural and social development, ensuring social security; strengthening national defense and security, expanding foreign relations.
Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung emphasized that with the belief and aspiration for a prosperous Thai Nguyen, where the people have a prosperous and happy life; the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province always have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, uphold the heroic revolutionary tradition, promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, unity and solidarity to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully complete the set goals and tasks, contribute with the whole country to build and protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, for the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".
