With the proactive and thoughtful preparation of all units in VNPT, across the country, the telecommunications network from the night of December 30th to the early morning of January 1st of the Lunar New Year operated stably, with traffic flowed well at New Year's Eve. VNPT's records show that the average traffic of stations serving the fireworks festival in some central areas of the city such as: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake (Hanoi), Nguyen Hue Flower Street (HCMC), Nguyen Van Troi Bridge (Da Nang), ... increased by about 200% - 300% compared to normal days. The load efficiency of the central stations increased and caused sudden congestion at some points compared to normal days (load usage was about 90%). VNPT also focuses on the migration factor during the process of returning home for Tet from industrial parks to localities and has plans to supplement capacity in those localities. VNPT also broadcasts about 100 5G stations in 10 provinces/cities, mainly concentrated in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in densely populated areas to enhance the experience for people during the Giap Thin Tet holiday. VNPT has developed a plan to ensure information security, is ready to coordinate to meet the requirements of state management agencies, arranges more than 1,500 human resources and vehicles, and is ready to implement sudden information requests during the holidays of functional agencies. VNPT focuses on investing in the international Internet network with a 20% increase in capacity with many land cable directions to ensure backup in case of sea cable breaks. The backbone network capacity has increased by 32% to meet the traffic flow for fixed broadband Internet and mobile Internet customers. VNPT has coordinated with major content providers and CDN providers to improve service quality and customer experience. The average connection capacity has increased by 10%-40% to ensure service quality. In 2023, VNPT's fixed broadband network has been expanded and upgraded with large capacity, so it can fully serve customers' service needs during the Lunar New Year 2024.
