These relics were directly handed over by Dr. Amandine Dabat to the Vietnamese Embassy in Paris and the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts during her working trip to France in late September 2024 and were brought back to Vietnam by the Vietnamese Embassy in Paris immediately afterwards.

According to Architect Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the reception of King Ham Nghi’s relics is of great significance, not only for heritage conservation but also to evoke and honor the historical values of the nation. These relics are vivid evidence of a period of ups and downs in Vietnamese history.

The repatriation of the relics provides a valuable opportunity for the people of the country, especially the younger generation, to admire and learn more about the patriotic king.

The event also expressed the gratitude of Dr. Amandine Dabat, a descendant of King Ham Nghi, to his roots, and contributed to deepening the cultural cooperation between Vietnam and the world.
