The collection Letters from the City encapsulates the love of ao dai of designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam. He always seeks new themes to turn ao dai, which is originally a fashion product, into a cultural representative.
Miss Ý Nhi walks alongside King Tuấn Ngọc in a colorful ao dai printed with postage stamps on high-quality SVF silk.
With Letters from the City, Do Trinh Hoai Nam hopes to bring images of postage stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day to recall a heroic period of the nation.
The designer told the historical story through fashion style with hand-drawing techniques, double-sided 8D printing, hand-embroidered embroidery and sparkling gemstone technology like stars, turning envelopes into gorgeous and luxurious dresses.
Ao dai designs blend traditional and modern styles to help spread the love of Ao dai to the community.
Each stamp on each Ao Dai design by Do Trinh Hoai Nam is a large painting through Vietnamese cultural costumes.
The postage stamps of that time were not only a bond but also a witness of an era. The images of the stamps appeared sharply on the colorful ao dai designs, combined with the delicate cuts, all honoring the cultural and historical values.
The collection with elaborate and magnificent designs was performed with great anticipation from the audience.
The beauty of Vietnamese women is fully portrayed, delicate, graceful, and poetic.
