This year's Spring Press Festival has nearly 400 outstanding books, newspapers and magazines from central and provincial press agencies and the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts (VHNT), including: Spring newspapers, magazines, journals, books, photos introducing the whole picture of Son La press and the press nationwide in the early spring of the new year; propagating the results and achievements of socio-economic development, national defense and security of the province in 2023.

Thereby, promoting and honoring the development of Vietnamese revolutionary press, provincial press and provincial literature and arts. Creating opportunities for exchange and encouraging those working in the media and artists to continue to strive to perform well their functions and tasks to meet the people's needs for information and enjoyment of art.

At the Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024, the Journalists Association coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to launch a campaign to create press, literary and artistic works on organizing a press and propaganda contest to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1994 - December 22, 2024).

All publications displayed at the Giap Thin Spring Newspaper Festival 2024 were presented by the Organizing Committee to the Provincial Border Guard Command to be delivered to Border Guard Stations in the province, providing spiritual food for soldiers protecting the border on the occasion of Tet.
