250 projects and constructions will be inaugurated and started simultaneously on August 19.

The groundbreaking and inauguration of 250 projects on August 19 is an important political event, contributing to the socio-economic development and growth of the whole country.

On August 19, 250 projects and constructions with a total investment of up to 1.2 million billion VND will be inaugurated and started simultaneously from 9:00 a.m. These projects and constructions will contribute to creating momentum to promote socio -economic development and growth for the whole country.

At the press conference to inform about the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) on the afternoon of August 14 organized by the Government Office , according to Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 57/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2025 and Official Dispatch No. 129/CD-TTg dated August 7, 2025 on preparations for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of works, by the end of August 13, 2025, the Ministry of Construction had received reports from 34 provinces and cities, 17 ministries, branches and 18 corporations and general companies.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction has reviewed and compiled 250 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible for inauguration and commencement of construction, of which 89 projects and works are eligible for inauguration; 161 projects and works are eligible for commencement of construction.

Total 250 projects with total investment of 1,280,000 billion VND. Of which, State capital with 129 projects is 478,000 billion VND, accounting for 37% of total capital and 121 projects with other capital sources are 802,000 billion VND, accounting for 63% of total capital (including 5 foreign direct investment projects - FDI) with capital of 54,000 billion VND.

“The completion of these projects will create momentum and momentum for the country's economic development, strengthen regional connectivity, achieve the growth target in 2025 from GDP of 8.3-8.5% and the target of reaching double digits in 2026-2030, create jobs and livelihoods for people, and improve people's lives,” Minister Tran Van Son emphasized.

Minister Tran Van Son also said that on December 19, 2025, the whole country will continue to organize the inauguration and groundbreaking of large-scale projects nationwide, including completing 3,000km of highways and the Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1 one year earlier to welcome the 14th National Party Congress.

Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan added that the groundbreaking and inauguration of 250 projects is an important political event, contributing achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

“These projects and works have demonstrated maturity, growth, advancement, self-reliance, self-strengthening, and proactive development of socio-economic infrastructure (including transportation works, urban areas, industrial parks, services, education and training, healthcare, science and technology, innovation, etc.), vividly and truly reflecting the efforts of the entire political system, related entities, and the solidarity and consensus of the people competing to participate in implementing projects and works across the country; demonstrating the joy and happiness of the people, those who directly benefit from the results...; thereby, creating momentum and force to enter a new era”, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan affirmed.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Construction also said that these projects and works will contribute to achieving the growth target of 8.5% this year and contribute 20% to GDP in the following years. With projects using State budget capital, they will create an infrastructure framework to lead the private economy.

Mr. Do Duc Hoang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, said that out of a total of 250 projects and works eligible for inauguration and commencement, 80 online television stations will be selected and there will be 9 live broadcast stations at 9:00 a.m. on VTV1 Channel, the remaining projects will be simultaneously held groundbreaking and inauguration./.

Of the 250 projects and works that have started and been inaugurated, there are 8 important national projects, 46 group A projects; 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects.

Of which, 59 projects and works are in transport infrastructure; 44 projects and works of urban civil engineering; 57 projects and works of industrial engineering; 36 projects and works of technical infrastructure; 22 projects and works of social housing; 6 projects and works of industry and rural development; 3 projects and works of culture and sports; 12 projects and works of education; 1 project and works of national defense; 10 projects and works of health.
