Accordingly, the project is supported by the provincial budget, implemented in 3 years, with a total investment of more than 29 billion VND. The area planned to build the Y-shaped bridge is located at the intersection of the Huong River and An Cuu River, in which one side is the park area and the Huong River Theater connecting to the newly renovated Da Vien Islet.
According to the design, the Y-shaped bridge has a steel checkerboard floor structure with separate lanes for pedestrians and bicycles, 4.2m wide and 47.4m long. The bridge surface is paved with ironwood, the railing is made of copper bars, creating a unique feature for people and tourists when walking along the banks of the Huong River.
The clearance under the bridge allows for easy passage of ships and boats. There are resting and check-in points on the bridge for pedestrians. The slope of the bridge is designed to be suitable for the disabled and cyclists to go up and down easily.
After being invested, the Y-shaped bridge will become a highlight for the landscape axis on both sides of the An Cuu River and connect with the walking route on the southern bank of the Huong River from the location of the Huong River Theater through Bui Thi Xuan Park.
