In which, the tax authority will introduce an overview of the eTax-Mobile application and guide on how to use some of the application's functions, including: instructions on how to install the application; instructions on how to use the application's features.

At the same time, it will answer common questions of taxpayers related to the eTax Mobile application.

There have been more than 2 million eTax Mobile application installations

The eTax Mobile application has been operated by the General Department of Taxation since March 21, 2022, to support individuals in looking up tax liability information, paying taxes electronically, receiving electronic notifications, updating tax registration information... on mobile devices.

Thereby, taxpayers can easily access information on tax obligations; proactively and conveniently fulfill their obligations to the State budget.

As a result, there have been more than 2 million installations of eTax Mobile (more than 3 times higher than in 2023) with 2.75 million electronic tax payment transactions and a total payment amount of more than 6,177 billion VND.

On August 26, 2024, the General Department of Taxation continued to upgrade and add many features to eTax Mobile, such as account registration, integrated login via electronic identification account (VneID), linking bank accounts, paying taxes, paying taxes on behalf of others and supporting information on personal income tax settlement... Currently, the Tax sector is accelerating the upgrading of the eTax Mobile application to serve the processing of tax settlement and automatic personal income tax refund.

According to the direction of the General Department of Taxation, currently the number of taxpayers installing and using the eTax Mobile application is not much, so there needs to be a solution to strive to deploy the application to all taxpayers by December 31, 2024.

To carry out this task, the General Department of Taxation's leaders directed tax authorities at all levels to organize application deployment teams based on local management practices, develop propaganda plans, provide guidance, and introduce new features of eTax Mobile to users.

The General Department of Taxation also recommends that taxpayers should install and register at the eTax Mobile application to proactively check their income sources during the year.
