Samsung introduces SSD, capacity up to 122.88TB

Samsung BM1743 Enterprise QLC not only impresses with its huge capacity but also stands out with its outstanding I/O performance. This SSD uses the PCIe 5.0 protocol, providing sequential read speeds of up to 7.5GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3GB/s.

In particular, the BM1743 achieves random read speeds of up to 1.6 million IOPS and 16KB random write speeds of up to 45K IOPS. These parameters demonstrate the SSD's ability to process data concurrently, which is important in computationally demanding applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

The BM1743 is not only powerful in performance but also 45% more energy efficient than previous versions. This helps reduce operating costs, increase energy efficiency in data centers and server systems.

In addition to the BM1743, Samsung also introduced other SSD products such as the PM9D3a and PM9E1, designed for mainstream data centers. The PM9D3a and PM9E1 offer a maximum capacity of 32TB with read speeds of up to 12GB/s and write speeds of up to 6.8GB/s, serving AI systems that process high-speed data.
