The gold medal at the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) that Le Kien Thanh brought back from Bolivia is a great joy not only for you, but also for the education sector of the entire Gia Lai province.
The calm, confident features of the golden boy
Le Kien Thanh maintained a special composure despite having just won a gold medal in an international competition, a glory that many generations of students in the province have longed for but never achieved.
Recalling the time competing in the cold highlands of the capital Sucre, Bolivia, Thanh said those were days when the whole team lived under great pressure.
Even though we set the goal from the beginning to compete for gold with strong teams like China, Japan, Korea... the feeling when facing the gladiator is still very tense.
"Your team has the means and high-end equipment. Hearing the code crackling on the expensive keyboard, I couldn't help but sweat when sitting next to them!" - Thanh humorously said.
But overcoming all the pressure, all 4 contestants of the Vietnamese delegation won medals, and Thanh was the one who won the gold medal.

He studied and explored with great passion and love, and his family never felt any pressure from him during his years of study. Before important competitions, Thanh did not focus on studying but often relaxed and spent time on other things.
