Que Ngoc Hai

Que Ngoc Hai is the first player to say goodbye to SLNA after the end of the 2023 season. The 30-year-old center-back asked to terminate his contract one year early to find a new destination after the Nghe An team failed to achieve the expected results in the past two seasons.

SLNA leaders agreed with Ngoc Hai's wishes and did not ask him to compensate for his contract.

Que Ngoc Hai returned to SLNA in early 2022 with a 3-year contract. After two seasons, he played 38 matches and scored two goals for the Nghe An team.

In the 2022 season, SLNA ranked 5th in the V-League, but this season, they could not make it into the top 8 and fell into the relegation group.

Que Ngoc Hai has been Vietnam's top central defender for nearly ten years and many teams want his services.

The central defender born in 1993 will likely join Binh Duong next season.

Pham Xuan Manh

After Que Ngoc Hai, Pham Xuan Manh also left SLNA when the 4-year contract between the two sides expired. He quickly found a new destination, Hanoi FC - the runner-up of V-League 2023.

Xuan Manh was born in 1996 and grew up in SLNA's youth academy. After 8 seasons playing for the Nghe An team, he played 127 matches in the V-League and scored 5 goals.

Xuan Manh is known to many people when he won the runner-up position of U23 Asia 2018 with U23 Vietnam. He also played for the Vietnam national team many times under coach Park Hang Seo.

Nguyen Van Hoang

After V-League 2023, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang also left SLNA. Like Xuan Manh, Van Hoang chose Hanoi FC as his next destination.

Van Hoang was born in 1995 in Nghe An. After leaving Saigon FC (disbanded), he returned to his hometown team SLNA in 2019.

Van Hoang is a member of the Vietnam U23 team that won the runner-up position at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup (as a reserve for Bui Tien Dung). Under coach Park Hang Seo, he has also been called up to the Vietnam national team many times.

Nguyen Hai Huy

On the evening of August 28, Hai Huy said goodbye to Hai Phong fans after completing his two-year contract with the Hai Phong team.

During his two years playing for Hai Phong, he played 42 matches and scored 9 goals. Hai Huy contributed greatly to helping Hai Phong win the runner-up position in V-League 2022 and finish 6th in V-League 2023.

Thanks to his impressive performance, Hai Huy has been regularly called up to the Vietnam national team by coach Park Hang Seo and coach Philippe Troussier over the past two years.

Binh Duong Club is likely to be the next destination for the 32-year-old midfielder from Quang Ninh.

Huynh Tuan Linh

After the end of V-League 2023, Huynh Tuan Linh announced his departure from HAGL even though he still had one year left on his contract. During his 3 years playing for HAGL, Tuan Linh played 42 matches.

He and his teammates had a great chance to win the 2021 V-League championship when they were leading after 12 rounds, but the tournament was canceled due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

In 2022, HAGL is entitled to participate in the AFC Champions League group stage and win the Bronze Medal of the 2022 National Cup. In the 2023 season, Coach Kiatisak and his team cannot enter the group of 8 championship teams.

Tuan Linh was born in 1991 in Quang Ninh. He and the mining team won the V-League runner-up position twice in 2010 and 2013. Tuan Linh was called up to the national team in 2016 and played twice.
