Implementing the Project “Supporting Women to Start a Business” for the period 2017-2025 approved by the Government, in recent years, the Women’s Union at all levels in Quang Binh province has synchronously deployed many activities to raise awareness, arouse the entrepreneurial spirit, potential and creativity of women. Thereby contributing to effectively supporting women in starting a business, starting a business, developing the economy, reducing poverty sustainably, creating jobs, increasing income and promoting gender equality in the economic field.

To effectively implement the Project, the Association at all levels has focused on exploiting resources, organizing training, vocational training, and knowledge training on business start-up; encouraging and consulting members and women to develop ideas for establishing and developing businesses; supporting women with business ideas to access capital, science and technology, and improve competitiveness. Through competitions, women have been encouraged and motivated to realize their start-up ideas. In particular, mobilizing resources from programs and projects to support the establishment of cooperative models, cooperatives, production linkages, and consumption of products owned by women. On the other hand, proactively connecting enterprises, cooperatives, cooperatives, and individual business households of women inside and outside the province; consulting and supporting registration, review, and building product brands.

In the period of 2017 - 2025 , the Women's Union at all levels in the province supported the establishment of 69 cooperatives and 30 cooperative groups with women participating in management; over 5,000 women were trained and guided in developing business ideas/projects; 255 women starting businesses and startups were supported in accessing capital; 195 startup and business ideas of members and women were selected and proposed by the Women's Union at all levels, of which 110 ideas were selected by the Provincial Women's Union and supported with training and guidance to complete detailed business plans; 51 creative ideas of women were awarded at the provincial level; supported with loans of over 19 billion VND to implement startup ideas...

Currently, in the whole province of Quang Binh, women are operating and managing nearly 60% of individual business households in rural areas, 16.5% of enterprises. Cooperatives with women as directors and business owners have contributed to creating a significant source of income for each family, contributing to the local budget and helping to solve jobs for thousands of workers. Many products of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and women-owned linkage models have gained a foothold in the market and are known by domestic and foreign consumers, such as: Nhu Man dried sweet potatoes (Hai Ninh), Lam Huong dried sweet potatoes (Thanh Thuy), Phong Nha peanut oil (Bo Trach), Truong Thuy peanut oil (Quang Trach); Tuan Linh clean mushrooms (Son Loc); Hien Thuan turmeric starch (Mai Thuy), Thanh Binh climbing eggplant (Cu Nam), Long Tam fish sauce (Bao Ninh), Hung Loan clean agricultural products (Quang Trach), Tam Sen herbal pork...

Thanks to the efforts of each female member and the support of the Women's Union at all levels, many women, despite their difficult circumstances and starting points, have overcome themselves, confidently and courageously overcome social barriers to stand up and start a business and bring success in many new directions, based on the potential and available advantages of the locality. The spirit of innovation in business development and start-up associated with the implementation of emulation movements "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families"; "Building Quang Binh women of the new era" ... has had a profound and positive impact on awareness and thinking and has become a driving force to promote the spirit and aspirations of cadres, members and women.
