Quang Binh has a new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee

At the end of 2024 session, the People's Council of Quang Binh province carried out the voting process to elect the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province for the 2021-2026 term.

With 44/44 delegates present in agreement, reaching 100%, the People's Council of Quang Binh province passed the Resolution to elect Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on November 10, at the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee Conference, 100% of the Provincial Party Committee members present voted to elect Mr. Tran Phong, Secretary of Dong Hoi City Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Tran Phong was born in 1974, hometown: Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province. Political theory level: Advanced; Professional level: University of General Business Administration; Degree: Master of Economics.

Mr. Tran Phong has held the following positions: Vice Chairman of Bo Trach District People's Committee; Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee; Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh Province; Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of Dong Hoi City Party Committee.

Also at this session, the People's Council of Quang Binh province passed a resolution to dismiss the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province for the 2021-2026 term and to cease the duties of a delegate of the People's Council of Quang Binh province for Mr. Tran Thang, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, due to his transfer to a new unit.

Mr. Tran Thang was assigned and mobilized by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc.
