Pursuant to the approval of the policy of the Vietnam Stock Exchange, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange issued Decision No. 66/QD-CT on Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang Trung's resignation from the position of Deputy General Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) to study abroad for a limited period.

The decision takes effect from November 4, 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang Trung (born in 1974), has a Master's degree in Finance and Economics - University of NewSouth Wales (Australia).

Before being appointed as Deputy General Director of HoSE, Mr. Trung worked at the State Bank of Vietnam (1996 - 1997), the State Securities Commission (1997 - 2004) and from 2004 - 2017 worked at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

Mr. Trung has held the positions of Head of functional departments at Hanoi Stock Exchange Center, Deputy Director of Hanoi Stock Exchange Center, Member of Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of HNX.

Previously, in the morning trading session of September 22, the Vietnamese stock market fell sharply when rumors appeared that the General Director and Deputy General Director of HoSE had resigned.

Ms. Tran Anh Dao - Deputy General Director in charge of operations of Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, confirmed that this is a rumor, not true.

According to Ms. Dao, all activities of HoSE are taking place normally. When there is any information, HoSE will officially announce it to the market. According to Ms. Dao, this rumor may affect investors' psychology, so HoSE will likely issue an official press release about this this afternoon.

At HoSE, the current Executive Board consists of Ms. Tran Anh Dao - Deputy General Director in charge of operations; Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang Trung - Deputy General Director and Ms. Ngo Viet Hoang Giao - Deputy General Director. Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Ha is currently holding the position of Acting Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of HoSE.
