Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong suggested that the two countries' communities continue to have a deeper understanding of promoting the building of a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance.

On December 4, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong received a delegation from the China International Exchange Association led by Mr. Ge Bingxian, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress of China and President of the Association, on the occasion of a working visit to Vietnam.

Expressing his delight at receiving the delegation, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong emphasized that Vietnam and China are two close neighboring countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on January 18, 1950, the main trend in Vietnam-China relations has been friendship and cooperation. Vietnam-China relations have developed well, achieved many important results, and cooperation between the two countries in various fields has continued to make new progress, becoming increasingly profound, comprehensive and substantive.

2025 is an important milestone year when the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and is the Vietnam-China Year of Humanitarian Exchange.

Appreciating the activities of the China International Exchange Association, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the two countries' communities continue to have a deeper awareness of promoting the building of a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance. This is an important orientation to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, especially higher political trust, more substantive defense-security cooperation, deeper comprehensive cooperation, and a more solid social foundation; including the contributions of friendship associations and friendship parliamentary groups of the two countries. The two sides coordinate more closely in multilateral forums.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong said that the two countries' National Assemblies should not only strengthen relations at high levels but also at the National Assembly Committees, National Assembly delegations and People's Councils of provinces and cities, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and diplomacy to a higher and deeper level.

In addition to promoting, exchanging and sharing experiences between the two National Assemblies on legislation, supervision and decision-making on important national issues, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that it is expected that the Vietnamese National Assembly will conduct supervision of bilateral agreements and bilateral international treaties that the two countries have signed to promote other cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, science, education and training, national defense and security, etc.

Expressing his joy at China's development in successfully achieving the first 100-year goal, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his confidence in the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, China's prosperous development, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Informing that Vietnam is actively preparing for the 14th National Party Congress, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that after nearly 40 years of renovation, Vietnam has achieved many great and outstanding achievements in all fields. The country's role, potential, foundation, position and international prestige have been increasingly enhanced; creating a solid foundation for the country to enter a "new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise."

Emphasizing the pivotal role of people-to-people exchanges in the two countries' foreign relations, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong suggested that in the coming time, the China International Exchange Association coordinate with the Vietnam-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Group to increase exchanges between high-level delegations, agencies of the National Assembly, National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels, and exchanges between localities, young deputies, and female deputies of the two countries.

Informing about some activities within the framework of his visit and work in Vietnam, Mr. Cat Binh Hien hoped that in the coming time, the two sides would continue to strengthen comprehensive exchanges at all levels, between the two countries' National Assemblies, the Friendship Parliamentarians' Groups of the two National Assemblies; local elected bodies; exchange of practical experiences in legislative and supervisory work...

Mr. Cat Binh Hien agreed that the two countries need to promote cultural, educational, scientific and technological exchanges. The China International Exchange Association will continue to organize seminars and thematic talks to promote trade, cultural and tourism cooperation between the two sides./.
