Within the framework of his visit and work in China, on August 20, in Beijing, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, met with Mr. Trieu Lac Te, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Chairman of the National People's Congress of China.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary To Lam and other key leaders of Vietnam to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and other key leaders of China; and conveyed the greetings and invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji to soon visit Vietnam and co-chair the First Session of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China.
Appreciating the good progress in the relationship between the two Parties and countries, as well as the exchange and cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China in recent times, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives top priority to developing relations with China.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong reported on Vietnam's recent socio-economic development results, and said that Vietnam has issued four strategic resolutions on promoting economic development, science and technology-innovation, international integration, institutional improvement, and law-making. Vietnam has also reorganized administrative units, state agencies, and local government organizations into two levels.
To effectively implement the high-level common awareness reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong suggested that the legislative bodies of the two countries continue to promote the achievements of cooperation in recent times; enhance the exchange of experiences between all levels, specialized committees, friendship parliamentarians' groups and localities of the two countries in areas such as legislation, supervision, anti-corruption, building a socialist rule-of-law state, national governance and social management to further facilitate the connection of the two economies and the implementation of the development strategy between the two countries, building a comprehensive and extensive cooperation model between the two countries, including connecting strategic transport infrastructure, cooperation in innovation, science and technology, digital economy, and green development.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong also emphasized the need to promote the role of the agency representing the will and aspirations of the people in order to take practical measures to enhance understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.
In a sincere and friendly atmosphere, Chairman Zhao Leji conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and key leaders of China to General Secretary To Lam and key leaders of Vietnam; expressed gratitude for the greetings of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and said he was ready to accept the invitation to visit Vietnam soon.
Mr. Trieu Lac Te expressed his joy at the good progress in the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times, including the cooperative relationship between the National People's Congress of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam being raised to a new height.
He congratulated Vietnam on issuing new policies on promoting economic development, science and technology, international integration, perfecting institutions and laws, and the arrangement of administrative units, state agencies and two-level local government organizations.
Chairman Zhao Leji affirmed that the Chinese Party and State always consider developing relations with Vietnam a priority in its neighborly foreign policy, and are ready to work with Vietnam to well implement high-level agreements and common perceptions that have been reached.
He made it clear that the National People's Congress of China is willing to further promote and deepen friendly exchanges and practical cooperation with the National Assembly of Vietnam, enhance experience exchanges between all levels, professional committees, friendship parliamentarian groups and localities of the two countries, contributing to promoting the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance and is constantly developing in the coming time.
Earlier, on the afternoon of August 19, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and the delegation had a working session with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China; met, listened to and answered many opinions and recommendations of representatives of the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Beijing./.
