People's Artist Viet Anh and his girlfriend Chan Chan attended the New Year party of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association. The two freely interacted with the artists and took souvenir photos. On this occasion, he shared with VietNamNet about life and new love at the age of U70.

People's Artist Viet Anh and his girlfriend met nearly a year ago, after participating in a music video project with a young male singer.

The artist is happy to have a companion in his old age, to share his joys and sorrows in work and life. In his eyes, his girlfriend is a dynamic, energetic and kind person.

From their colleague relationship, both felt a similarity in personality and soul, drawing them closer together.

During their time together, the couple freely expressed their feelings to friends and colleagues. People's Artist Viet Anh often posted a series of photos with his girlfriend with many intimate gestures such as cheek to cheek, shoulder to shoulder and hand holding. "Everyone longs for happiness, I am enjoying this feeling," he said.

After 17 years of being single, Viet Anh got used to eating out and doing everything himself. Since having a girlfriend, he feels complete joy because he has someone by his side day and night.

The artist's girlfriend takes care of every meal at home and buys clothes to make him look neat. When Viet Anh goes out to work, she often reminds him to take care of his health.

“We stick together every day, being each other’s support. Even though we are not richer than anyone else, just renting a room, we feel happy and fulfilled. This is something I have not had in many years of being single,” People’s Artist Viet Anh said.

Chan Chan is currently the manager, supporting People's Artist Viet Anh in his artistic work. His girlfriend used to be a film producer so she often gives him advice.

In addition, she knows about technology, helping Viet Anh build video and image content on social networking platforms. In return, the male artist also guides his girlfriend in acting skills for the projects she participates in.

People's Artist Viet Anh is 68 years old this year, while his girlfriend is born in the 90s, a 36-year age gap. The artist believes that age is not a problem when both are looking in the same direction. For him, harmony in thinking and perception is what is important.

“Many people think about sex in a relationship, but at this age I think differently. I live for myself, no one else lives for me,” he confided.

Having found love in his old age, Viet Anh wants to keep everything private. He doesn't like to show off, avoiding scrutiny from malicious people.

However, the artist is sad because there are still people who intentionally exploit it in a negative way, causing him to be criticized by the audience.

Viet Anh believes that everyone has their own worries . He hopes that everyone will let them flow naturally, without judging, giving opinions, or making subjective inferences.

“I have never proactively spoken out or posted any news, but I am still being gossiped about. I ignore the negativity because this is my personal life and I am responsible for it,” he said.

People's Artist Viet Anh is relieved that his 26-year-old daughter has graduated from university. She is currently pursuing her studies in electrical engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia. Despite the great geographical distance, father and daughter still care for each other, asking about each other through text messages or long-distance calls. The artist is proud to see that his daughter is intelligent, independent and affectionate.

In the past few years, People's Artist Viet Anh has been actively working in the film industry. He was directed by Tran Thanh invited to participate in consecutive hundred billion projects such as: The Godfather, Mrs. Nu's House, Mai and the closest is The Guardian Quartet .
