In just 4 days of the event, Yen Tu had more than 1 million people, tourists, and Buddhists from all over the country and internationally making pilgrimages to offer incense, worship, pray for peace, and contemplate the teachings of Buddhism. The number of people and tourists coming to worship the relics of Buddha in 4 days was equivalent to the number of visitors to Yen Tu in the previous year.

Tourists, monks, and Buddhists come here not only to worship and perform rituals with a spirit of compassion, spreading virtue and love, but also to deeply feel the spiritual, cultural, and historical values ​​of Yen Tu Relics and Landscape Complex - once the Buddhist capital of Vietnam.

This important event also created a deep connection between Indian Buddhism, world Buddhism and Vietnamese Buddhism. Because King Tran Nhan Tong skillfully inherited and adapted the Buddha's thoughts to suit Vietnamese customs, culture and spirit.

Not only that, the procession, enshrinement and worship of Buddha's relics have contributed significantly to Vietnam's consolidation of documents and values, thereby successfully defending the nomination dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex as a World Cultural Heritage.

Located on the Dong Trieu arc in Northern Vietnam, running through 3 provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Giang , Hai Duong, the system of relics over 700 years old belonging to the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac has special values ​​in terms of religion, culture, and history. This place is not only a symbol of traditional patriotism and national spirit but also the homeland of the Tran Dynasty, the origin of Truc Lam Zen sect, playing an important role in shaping the history of the Vietnamese nation.

This complex of monuments and landscapes represents the vitality of a long-standing, vibrant cultural heritage that continues to develop to this day, and has been submitted to UNESCO for consideration for recognition as a world heritage by Vietnam. Following the tradition of thousands of years, Quang Ninh province, together with Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces, actively join hands to preserve and promote the values ​​of cultural, historical, archaeological, biodiversity, geological heritage as well as the unique landscapes of the Complex of Monuments, thereby preserving and passing on the heritage values ​​to future generations, as well as promoting this cultural heritage internationally.

To spread the global value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex, recently at the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) coordinated with the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to organize an event to promote the cultural, historical and spiritual values ​​of this Monuments and Landscape Complex. In particular, the leaders of Quang Ninh province affirmed that the monument was planned synchronously with hundreds of pagodas, temples, towers and ancient relics, spread across 3 provinces, connected into a unified entity in both space and spirituality, with special significance in terms of religion, culture and history, having existed for more than 700 years and becoming a living cultural heritage. This heritage complex is not only ancient architectural works but also a living testament to the birth and development of Truc Lam Buddhism - a unique Zen sect of Vietnam, founded by Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong in the 13th century.

The 47th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which will take place in Paris (France) in July 2025, will decide on the nomination dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex to become a World Cultural Heritage. It is hoped that the dossier will be accepted and registered, thereby contributing to the preservation and dissemination of a valuable heritage not only for Vietnam but also for the international community, honoring the good cultural values ​​of humanity.
