This is one of the meaningful activities, contributing to enriching cultural life during the holidays, while at the same time evoking pride and gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for national independence.
Pham Ngoc Phat, a student at Dan Tien Secondary School (Khoai Chau), said: During this holiday, I visited the Provincial Museum with my family and was very impressed with the images and artifacts of the resistance war against the US. Through that, I better understood the great sacrifices of the previous generation and felt very proud to be born in a land rich in tradition like Hung Yen.
Comrade Bui Dang Quy, Director of the Provincial Museum, said: During this year's holiday, the number of visitors to the museum increased significantly, especially groups of students and families. On April 30, the Museum welcomed over 1,000 visitors. To serve the needs of people and tourists, the Hung Yen Provincial Museum will open for free during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, from April 30, 2025 to May 4, 2025. Opening hours in the morning: 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., in the afternoon: 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Coming to the Provincial Museum these days, visitors can not only admire the images, documents, artifacts, and memorabilia of soldiers in the resistance war against the US, saving the country of the army and people of Hung Yen, but also see thousands of artifacts of all kinds on display, many of which are valuable. Typically, there is a collection of 5 bronze drums, including a Dong Son bronze drum (Dong Xa bronze drum) with motifs and patterns typical of the rice-growing region; an ancient ship 30m long, 5m wide salvaged from the bottom of the Red River...
Immerse yourself in the An Xa Temple festival atmosphere
From Hung Yen city, traveling about 7 - 8 km, visitors come to An Xa temple festival (Dau An temple) in An Vien commune (Tien Lu) to immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere, recalling memories of childhood...
Located on a piece of land that is said to be shaped like a dragon's head, with ancient trees in front of the temple casting their shadows on a clear lake, An Xa Temple is the only place in Vietnam to worship the Jade Emperor and his angels.
