Launched in June 2024, by March 2025, the Organizing Committee had received 108 songs from 108 authors from 32 provinces and cities nationwide. The works all have great content, historical value and profound significance of the cause of national reunification under the leadership of the Party over the past 50 years; the beauty of culture, people, country and territorial integrity of Vietnam; the economic, national defense, security, cultural and social achievements of 54 ethnic groups united to build a prosperous and happy life over the past 50 years.

With the campaign to compose “ Unification Song” , after each month of broadcasting, the Organizing Committee organizes a vote on the fanpage in 3 categories: Most favorite MV, Most favorite song and Most favorite singer. From the highest results of each month, the Organizing Committee continues to organize a vote every quarter.

In addition to launching the songwriting campaign, the Vietnam Musicians Association also organized an online singing contest with the same theme as a way to spread the songwriting campaign on the TikTok platform. The contest lasted 6 months with nearly 1,000 contestants participating.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the categories of Most Favorite Song, Most Favorite MV and Most Favorite Singer.

The campaign had no first prize. Two second prizes were awarded to the works: My Love for Vietnam (composed by musician Le Dang Ve) and Song of the Country.   Unification (composed by musician Van Thanh Nho).

My Love for Vietnam was composed by musician Le Dang Ve in 2022, introduced in the program "New Works" of Vietnam Television with the voices of singers Doan Hong Hanh and Bui Tuan Ngoc.
