Nghe An has 6 agricultural enterprises applying high technology

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province, by the end of 2023, the province will have a total high-tech farming area of ​​over 31,000 hectares; of which, the cultivation area is over 30,600 hectares, the aquaculture area is 462.7 hectares. The average production value reaches over 250 million VND/ha/year, 2-3 times higher than mass agricultural production.

Nghe An province currently has 25 enterprises applying high technology in agricultural production. Among them, there are some typical enterprises such as TH Group, Vinamilk Nghe An, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation, Vinh Hoa Science and Technology Company Limited, Nasu Sugarcane Company Limited... These are leading enterprises, creating a spreading influence in the development of high-tech agriculture in Nghe An province.

To date, Nghe An province has 6 enterprises recognized as high-tech agricultural enterprises. Of which, Nafood Group Company is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; the remaining enterprises, including Viet Uc Nghe An Company Limited, TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company, Vinamilk Nghe An Dairy Farm, Mavin Animal Feed Production Company, Nasu Sugarcane Company are recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.

Regarding forestry, on March 31, 2021, the Prime Minister issued a decision to establish the North Central High-Tech Forestry Zone in Nghe An province (Decision No. 509/QD-TTg). This is one of three high-tech forestry zones under the Government's policy and is the earliest high-tech forestry zone established in the country.

The goal of the zone is that by 2025, the wood and non-timber forest products processing industry will become a driving economic sector in production and export of the entire North Central region in general and Nghe An province in particular.

According to Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo and Decision No. 1059/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2023 of the Prime Minister, Nghe An is oriented to focus investment resources to form and develop 4 economic corridors.

In which, the Ho Chi Minh Road economic corridor focuses on developing high-tech agriculture and the National Highway 48A economic corridor focuses on developing high-tech agriculture associated with processing industry and forest economy, forest canopy economy, and medicinal herbs.

To effectively implement the development of high-tech agriculture, in the coming time, the province will focus on promoting propaganda and investment promotion; Reviewing and building a list of key projects and fields of plants and animals to attract investors to invest in high-tech applications, linking with farmers to organize raw material production associated with the construction of processing plants; speeding up the implementation of high-tech forestry zones to attract investment...

In particular, focusing on taking enterprises as the center, prioritizing support for enterprises to participate in developing advantageous products of the province, especially enterprises with the capacity to access high technology in production.
