In the 2024 autumn-winter crop, the whole province strives to cultivate 152,000 hectares with a total food output of 670,041 tons. Of which, rice is 112,900 hectares, with an average yield of 54.5 quintals/ha, output of 615,305 tons; corn is 12,440 hectares, with an average yield of 44 quintals/ha, output of 54,736 tons; peanuts are 1,000 hectares, with an average yield of 18 quintals/ha, output of 1,800 tons; sweet potatoes are 1,100 hectares, with an average yield of 72 quintals/ha, output of 7,920 tons; vegetables and beans of all kinds are 12,500 hectares; Other crops 12,060 ha... Total production value of the 2024 autumn-winter crop strives to reach 9,178.7 billion VND, profit reaches 4,313 billion VND, average income reaches 52.5 million VND/ha.

To ensure success in the 2024 autumn-spring crop production, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Viet Chon emphasized: Based on the 2024 autumn-spring crop production plan, the agricultural sector and districts, towns and cities have reviewed the plan, developed specific plans to the commune level, clearly indicating the crop objects, associated with the actual conditions and advantages of each locality. At the same time, localities continue to convert the crop structure and appropriate seed structure; effectively implement the State management of agricultural materials and public services on irrigation, agricultural extension, and plant protection; continue to seek markets, invite businesses to invest in linking production and consumption of agricultural products.
