Hoang Su Phi is a border district in the west of Ha Giang province, about 100km from the center of Ha Giang city. This is an ideal place for tourists who love to conquer adventurous roads and admire majestic mountains. In mid-September, when places like Y Ty (Lao Cai), Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai) are too crowded with tourists, causing many people to feel bored, Hoang Su Phi, thanks to its desertedness, becomes more poetic and worth visiting.

Unlike in Mu Cang Chai in September and October when the rice is ripe, farmers do not harvest it early but leave it for a few more days to do tourism business, in Hoang Su Phi many farmers have gone to the fields to harvest at this time. Depending on the area, the rice will gradually turn yellow within a month, the most beautiful scenery usually falls around the second week of October.

The entire Hoang Su Phi district (Ha Giang) has about 3,720 hectares of terraced fields. At this time, the fields have a mixture of yellow and green colors, creating a unique beauty. Thanks to the late ripening of the rice, this place is considered the final destination in the journey to admire the golden season of the northern mountainous region.

Thao Nguyen (a tourist from Hanoi) shared: "I have been to Mu Cang Chai to see the golden season, it was very impressive. Tourism services there are also developed so it is convenient for visitors from all over. As for Hoang Su Phi, it is a different feeling. It is more deserted here with many rare wild features."

A few homestays have been built in Luoc village, convenient for visitors to admire the majestic mountains and rice fields from above.

Not only coming to admire the golden season, many tourists are also excited by the mountain scenery and the sea of clouds that appear almost every day during this season.

Anna (a tourist from Germany) shared: "I love adventure travel, so I chose Hoang Su Phi as my destination. From the road, the mountain scenery, the deserted, wildness... everything is wonderful."

Hoang Su Phi terraced fields were recognized as a national monument in 2012 and have become an important tourist destination in Ha Giang province. The terraced fields cultural tourism week organized by Hoang Su Phi district from September 24 to 26 has become a tradition and attracted the attention of many tourists.
