The Northern Delta Hydrometeorological Station said that from 1:00 p.m. on June 24 to 1:00 p.m. on June 25, there was moderate rain in Hanoi, with heavy to very heavy rain in some places; the total rainfall recorded at hydrological stations was generally 30-60mm, with some places being larger, such as Dap Day (Dan Phuong district) at 181.2mm; Cau Ram (My Duc district) at 179.2mm; Thach That at 112.6mm; Chuc Son (Chuong My district) at 85.6mm; Son Tay at 78mm; Suoi Hai (Ba Vi district) at 72.2mm.
Due to the influence of the low pressure trough with an axis through the North combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from now until June 27, Hanoi will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms; the rain will be concentrated at night and in the morning; the total rainfall in the South and the city center is 50-80mm, some places higher than 100mm, in the North and the West 40-70mm, some places higher than 100mm.
In the remaining areas of the North, from this evening until June 27, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, some places will have moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places will have more than 60mm; thunderstorms will occur mainly in the evening and at night. Combined with the heavy rainfall that occurred in the previous days, the Northern provinces are at risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas.
To proactively respond and reduce damage caused by heavy rain and the risk of flash floods and landslides, on June 25, the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Office of the National Committee for Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue issued a telegram requesting the Command Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the Northern provinces and related ministries and branches to closely monitor forecasts, warnings, and promptly inform authorities and people at all levels to proactively prevent; mobilize forces to support people in overcoming consequences and stabilizing their lives; deploy shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, and areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to proactively organize the evacuation of people to safe places...
