During the recent holiday, the total number of tourists visiting and staying reached about 180 thousand. Of which, international visitors reached 3 thousand, domestic visitors reached 177 thousand. The leader was Son Tien tourist area with about 80 thousand, followed by Buu Long tourist area with about 22 thousand; Suoi Mo tourist area with 17 thousand, Vuon Xoai tourist area with 10 thousand...

At tourist areas and spots, there are decorated and artistic and sports activities to serve tourists such as: CH-Alpha Cat Tien Jungle Paths Running Race with 2,000 participants at Cat Tien National Park; Bien Hoa - Long Khanh Heritage Connection Cycling Race; Experience hot air balloon flying and making Bien Hoa pottery at Dong Nai Province Pottery and Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025...

Visiting and experiencing the Pottery - Hot Air Balloon Festival, Ms. Bui Hoang Lan and her group of friends in Vinh An town (Vinh Cuu district) were very satisfied with the colorful images of 50 hot air balloons. Ms. Hoang Lan shared: "This is the first time I have attended the Hot Air Balloon Festival in my hometown with the experience of flying hot air balloons and watching the flag fluttering in the sky of Dong Nai. I am very touched and proud. I have attended the events at the festival for the past 4 days."

During the recent holiday, tourist areas and spots were decorated with clusters of flags and flowers. The images of the red flag with yellow star not only have deep historical and political significance but also become impressive souvenir photo spots for tourists.

As a destination attracting double the number of visitors compared to the 2024 holiday, Buu Long Tourist Area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the province. Mr. Nguyen Danh Thinh, Acting Director of Buu Long Investment and Development Company Limited, said that during the recent holiday, Buu Long focused on renovating items and miniature landscapes to welcome the grand ceremony, while preparing cultural and entertainment events. The highlight is the Folk Cake Festival at the Countryside Market space in the tourist area with more than 75 types of Folk Cakes, sweet soups and dishes from 3 regions... throughout the 5-day holiday. The highlight is 50 chefs from the Dong Nai Chefs Association making giant steamed banana cakes in the shape of the national flag and Tan Mai fish salad, a Dong Nai specialty, made from 50kg of fresh fish. Along with that are art programs at the Countryside Market stage with themes: amateur music, Acoustic performances, loto shows...

In particular, on the morning of April 30, Buu Long Tourist Area turned on super large LED lights to broadcast live the Parade and parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. This event attracted thousands of tourists to the tourist area, helping the tourist area exceed the target of the number of visitors during the holiday. The total number of visitors to the tourist area during the 5 holidays was over 22,000, double that of the same period in 2024.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that this year, people have a long holiday so they have more time to arrange their travel schedules. Moreover, this year is the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, so there are many national-level commemorative programs. Many localities organize cultural and entertainment events towards the great holiday, which has attracted a large number of tourists to the southern provinces, especially Ho Chi Minh City.

In Dong Nai, besides the series of events of the Pottery Festival - Hot Air Balloon, especially the Hot Air Balloon Festival recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the Festival with the most hot air balloons in Vietnam, it has attracted tens of thousands of tourists from inside and outside the province to visit and experience.
