Provincial armed forces continue the stream of gratitude

With the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" continued and promoted through each generation, over the years, the Quang Ninh Military has always paid attention to taking care of gratitude and repaying the merits of predecessors, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of those who have contributed to the revolution.

Determined not to let any policy beneficiaries suffer disadvantages in life, in recent years, the Provincial Military Command has focused on implementing well the regime for people with revolutionary contributions. Specifically, the Provincial Military Command has coordinated with departments, branches, and localities to direct and guide agencies and units to well implement all regimes and policies for those who participated in the resistance war against France, against the US to save the country, the war to defend the Fatherland and perform international missions according to Decisions No. 290, 142, 62, 49 of the Prime Minister. Organize to review, research, and make a list of beneficiaries in the area to pay regimes to ensure timeliness, fairness, transparency, right people, right regime, and no policy beneficiaries are disadvantaged.

The Provincial Military Command also directed and guided agencies and units to implement the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions. In particular, focusing on processing dossiers requesting recognition of martyrs; confirming wounded and sick soldiers according to Decree No. 131 of the Government and Circular No. 55 of the Ministry of National Defense ; looking up and verifying dossiers for enjoying Agent Orange regime; mobilizing, explaining, and revoking injury certificates, deciding to grant injury certificates and enjoy war invalid regimes for ineligible subjects, creating high consensus among local authorities, as well as subjects that must be revoked. In 2024 alone, the unit completed dossiers to resolve war invalid regimes for 8 cases, corrected martyr dossier information for 8 cases, and confirmed martyr information for 15 cases.

Along with that, the Provincial Military Command also coordinated and advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to allocate local budgets to visit and present gifts to thousands of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, revolutionary veterans through the periods, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers... In 2024, the Provincial Military Command and agencies and units allocated funds to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people with a total amount of 617 million VND; visited and presented gifts to 147 war invalids, veterans, and former soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign with an amount of nearly 780 million VND; visited and presented gifts to 341 policy beneficiaries with an amount of more than 270 million VND; transferred 5 gifts from the President, 5 gifts from the Ministry of National Defense, 5 gifts from the Military Region 3 Command and 1 gift from the province to war invalids and children of martyrs working at the Provincial Military Command...

Officers and soldiers of the Logistics - Engineering Department (Provincial Military Command) presented savings books worth 10 million VND to people with revolutionary contributions in Quang Yen town.

The Provincial Military Command also advised and proposed to the Party Committee, the Military Region 3 Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to build gratitude houses and comrade houses; visit and give gifts to policy families, families of officers and soldiers working in Truong Sa archipelago, DK1 platform, difficult areas, nursing centers for wounded and sick soldiers... Thereby contributing to ensuring good social security, serving the socio-economic development in the locality; highly appreciated by local Party committees, authorities and people.

In 2024, the provincial armed forces contributed nearly 460 million VND to the "Repaying gratitude" fund, deducting and submitting it to the superiors according to regulations. At the same time, the provincial armed forces supported the construction of 10 gratitude houses for families with difficult housing conditions, with a total cost of over 800 million VND; donated 9 savings books to policy beneficiaries with a total value of 90 million VND; donated 55 health insurance cards to relatives and caregivers of victims of Agent Orange; provided consultation, medical examination, and free medicine to 556 policy beneficiaries...

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Thuyet, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, affirmed: The attention and care for the regime and policies for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution is a major policy of the Party and State that is regularly implemented by the Provincial Military Command. The gratitude activities of the provincial military officers and soldiers have partly compensated for the great sacrifices and losses of war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of people with meritorious services; helping them have more motivation to rise up in life. Thereby, the solidarity between the army and the people is increasingly strengthened; contributing to building a more solid position of the people's hearts. In particular, the work of "Repaying gratitude" is also an effective measure to educate and foster the glorious traditions of the nation and the army, so that officers and soldiers can improve their qualities and revolutionary ethics, strengthen their confidence, and strive to fulfill all assigned tasks.
