To mark the 95th anniversary of its establishment and development, and the 45th anniversary of the brand "Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History", the Museum organizes a special exhibition "Ancient Wonders - A Convergence of Cultures".
Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History delivered the opening speech.
The name of the topic is taken from the above couplet with the meaning "Wonders from antiquities". This topic will introduce to the public more than 150 typical artifacts, which are the unique "wonders" of the museum, arranged according to 4 main topics as follows: Indian Art in Southeast Asia, Chinese Fine Arts, Vietnamese Fine Arts, Japanese Fine Arts. Notably, among the displayed artifacts, there are many artifacts that have appeared in old postcards about the museum. In addition, some rare collections are also introduced to the public for the first time. All are to recall the memory of the first museum of the land of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City, which was entrusted with the noble mission of preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage.
In addition, the Museum is proud to launch the "brand" identity of the Museum of History, expressing the viewpoint "Museum for people and serving people, is the future of tradition". This is not only an important milestone, but also our strong commitment to serving the community, so that "History is never old", protecting and transmitting the precious cultural values of the nation to today's and future generations, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity; expanding exchanges with the region and the world.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated and recognized the achievements of the Museum of History over the past time and thereby proved that with its cultural products, the Museum of History has gradually affirmed its "brand". In the strategy of building a brand identity, the Museum launched many beautiful, impressive and unique application products of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History to introduce and promote the image and brand of the Museum to domestic and international tourists.

On this occasion, the Museum was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and presented a commemorative medal to express gratitude to private collectors who donated artifacts and units that have accompanied the Museum over the past time.
In addition, the Museum also inaugurated a thematic exhibition room: "Maritime trade - Ceramic heritage from shipwrecks in the East Sea" and introduced the Automatic Guide software in cooperation with Vietsoftpro to serve the public visiting the Museum with more unique and attractive personal experiences, as well as increase the efficiency in museum management and operation in the era of the 4.0 technology revolution.
