On January 5, the Dak Lak Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee in collaboration with Tay Nguyen University organized the opening ceremony of the Pink Spring Festival and the registration activity for organ and tissue donation in 2025, with the message "Spring Blood Donation - Multiplying Happiness".

Attending the program were Mr. H'Yim Kđoh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc - Deputy Director of the National Organ Transplant Coordination Center, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Organ and Tissue Donation Association.

In its 9th edition, the Spring Festival this year attracted more than 600 volunteers to register and collected 460 units of blood. The amount of blood collected from the program will help overcome the shortage of blood and promptly serve emergency and medical treatment during the Lunar New Year 2025. At the program, 67 people registered to donate human tissues and organs.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, units, families and individuals in the province to actively respond, register to donate blood, donate organs and human body parts and mobilize many people to participate in the program, together continue to revive patients who are waiting day and night for organ transplants; at the same time, everyone needs to take care of and protect their own health, regularly exercise to stay healthy. The Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinates with the Department of Health and agencies, sectors, branches and organizations in the province to strengthen communication and mobilize people to register and participate in blood donation and organ donation. Localities should increase the organization of voluntary blood donation events, integrate propaganda and mobilize registration for organ donation and human body parts. All acts of trade, buying and selling of organs and human body parts in any form are strictly prohibited; Comply with regulations on organ transplantation and donation, do not allow profiteering, exploitation and violation of the law.
