On the morning of April 24, the Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee held the 32nd Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference to review and give opinions on the arrangement of administrative units at all levels and some other contents under its authority.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Thuong Hai - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced Decision No. 2057-QDNS/TW, dated April 14, 2025 of the Party Central Committee appointing comrade H'Yao Knul - Secretary of the Krong Ana District Party Committee to join the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Delegates also listened to Comrade Nguyen Tuan Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Committee briefly report on the draft Project on rearranging provincial and commune-level administrative units of Dak Lak province. Accordingly, the province currently has 180 commune-level administrative units, which will be rearranged into 68 new commune-level administrative units (including 7 wards, 61 communes), reducing 112 administrative units (including 11 wards, 13 towns, 88 communes) to reach a rate of 62.22%, ensuring the rate according to Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW, dated April 12, 2025 of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Recently, the Party Committee of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has coordinated with the Party Committee of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee to complete the Project on rearranging Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces according to regulations, and at the same time organized to collect voters' opinions, passed the People's Councils at all levels and was agreed by the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces. Accordingly, Dak Lak province was established under the Central Government on the basis of merging Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces. The administrative unit of Dak Lak province (after merging) has a natural area of ​​18,096.40 km2 (reaching 226.20% of the standard), a population of more than 3,346,583 people (reaching 371.87% of the standard), 102 affiliated administrative units (including Dak Lak province (before rearrangement) 68, Phu Yen province 34). The administrative and political center of Dak Lak province is located in Dak Lak province today.

Regarding the implementation roadmap, after the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee submits to the Government the Project on restructuring Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee will hold an online meeting with the Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee to unify and direct relevant agencies and units to develop Projects to merge departments, branches and sectors according to the general Project, ensuring compliance with the prescribed time schedule.

At the conference, delegates also discussed, proposed opinions and voted to unify the contents of the drafts: Project on rearranging provincial and communal administrative units of Dak Lak province; Project on rearranging Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces; Project on rearranging and streamlining agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and State (provincial and communal levels); adjusting the structure of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Party Committee to continue to coordinate with the Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee to review and effectively implement tasks related to the arrangement of offices, official residences, and means of transport for officials, civil servants, and public employees of Phu Yen province to work in Dak Lak. Departments, branches, and sectors closely coordinate with corresponding agencies of Phu Yen province to develop projects for each agency and unit to ensure the proposed roadmap.
