The Prime Minister has issued a disciplinary warning to Mr. Tran Van Can, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province for the 2016-2021 term, due to violations and shortcomings in his work.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 890/QD-TTg dated August 22, 2024 of the Prime Minister to discipline Mr. Tran Van Can, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province.
The Prime Minister has issued a disciplinary warning to Mr. Tran Van Can, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province for the 2016-2021 term (from June 2016 to October 2020) due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Commission has issued a Party disciplinary warning.
Disciplinary enforcement period from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1540-QD/UBKTTW dated June 24, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission.
Previously, at the 42nd Session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded to discipline Mr. Tran Van Can, former Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee. The Central Inspection Commission found that Mr. Tran Van Can, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks; in leading and directing the implementation of bid packages implemented by the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC) and enterprises in the AIC ecosystem; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused serious consequences, bad public opinion, reduced the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the extent that disciplinary action must be considered and taken.
Pursuant to Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Tran Van Can.
