Signing of cooperation agreement on research and application of rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation

On April 3, 2025, the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development (University of Agriculture and Forestry - Thai Nguyen University) held a signing ceremony of cooperation between the Vietnam Association of Natural Products Science (VANPS), the Institute of Rare Earth Technology (ITRRE), the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development and HAMINT Science and Technology Joint Stock Company on research and application of rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation.

The parties signed a cooperation agreement on research and application of rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Thiem, Chairman of VANPS Association, said that through the signing, the parties will jointly promote research and application of rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation to enhance the value and efficiency of natural products, aiming to develop high-quality products serving the pharmaceutical sector, health food and agricultural and forestry crop cultivation adapted to climate change.

At the signing ceremony, the parties agreed on the form of cooperation through implementing joint research projects, testing technology, transferring production processes, training human resources and supporting product development in the market. The areas of cooperation in research and application of rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation include: Manufacturing environmentally friendly preparations used as growth stimulants, plant protection agents, supplementing root fertilizers and foliar fertilizers; researching and developing technology to apply rare earth trace technology in tissue culture of medicinal plants to increase biological activity; building optimal processes, testing quality and evaluating product effectiveness after applying rare earth trace technology, nanotechnology and radiation; coordinating with enterprises to apply in practice and commercialize products.

Within the framework of the cooperation signing ceremony, the delegation visited the medicinal plant growing model at the Climate Park under the LEARN-VN project being implemented by the Institute of Forestry and Sustainable Development./.
