Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 13,394 billion, reaching 67% of the plan.

According to this plan, by 2025, Kien Giang will welcome 10.7 million visitors (900,000 international visitors). By 2030, it will welcome 23.667 million visitors (1.667 million international visitors). By 2025, it will create jobs for 38,600 direct workers and by 2030, it will reach 65,500 direct workers. Total revenue from tourists by 2025 will reach 38,000 billion VND, contributing over 13% of the province's GRDP; by 2030, it will reach 105,000 billion VND, contributing over 17.5% of the province's GRDP.
In the period of 2024-2030, Kien Giang province will focus on restructuring the tourist market to the province, especially foreign tourists. By increasing the proportion of European tourists, making the Southeast Asian tourist market a key market, and stably exploiting the source of Chinese and Korean tourists.
In particular, Kien Giang province also focuses on exploiting new markets from India and the Middle East. Regarding tourism types, Kien Giang province will form 3 specific tourism products including: visiting the ecosystem of the sea and plain in Ha Tien city, Kien Luong district; visiting and researching dugongs, dolphins and hawksbill turtles in the natural environment; and visiting and researching and ecotourism activities in the tropical forest on Phu Quoc island city.
