Acute leukemia can be cured with definitive treatments. Cure rates depend on the subtype of acute leukemia. For older patients who cannot tolerate high-dose chemotherapy, lower-dose chemotherapy combined with targeted therapies has been shown to improve survival rates. Lymphoma: The goal is complete remission.

Lymphoma is one of the more treatable forms of cancer, with the goal usually being to achieve complete remission, meaning no evidence of cancer remains.
