With more than 10 years of working at Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Automobile Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (Gian Khau Industrial Park), Mr. Pham Van Nam, Head of the Engineering Team, has strived, constantly studied to improve his professional qualifications, closely followed the actual work and completed the assigned tasks well. During his work, he has had many solutions and initiatives to improve production efficiency, increase labor productivity and create a safe working environment. Notably, the initiative "Programming a training program for tire pressure gauges for Creta cars (Su2id)". This is a technical solution that helps the Company optimize the production process and was awarded the Creative Labor Certificate in 2023 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Talking about his initiative, Mr. Nam said: “Previously, wheel balancing was done manually, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive. Although the Company had invested in automatic equipment, in order to program operations for new vehicle lines, it was necessary to hire foreign experts at a high cost. Understanding this limitation, I proactively researched and programmed software for automatic gun equipment. After being applied, the equipment operated stably, ensuring high accuracy”. Mr. Nam’s initiative helped the Company save more than 1.1 billion VND in costs for hiring foreign experts. Not only reducing costs, the initiative also contributed to increasing labor productivity, reducing labor, supporting the training process and shortening programming time for new vehicle lines.
At the Trade Union of Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Automobile Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" always takes place enthusiastically and widely with many practical and meaningful contents.
According to Mr. Pham Thanh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, the Board of Directors and the grassroots trade union always identify creativity as the key factor, creating core values for the sustainable development of the enterprise. Therefore, motivating and encouraging cadres, employees and workers to promote initiatives and technical improvements is always focused on. The Company has developed a specific emulation plan, in which each week, each unit must have at least one initiative on labor safety, one initiative to improve product quality, and honor an outstanding employee. Thanks to this methodical and scientific approach, each year, the Company records thousands of large and small initiatives, including hundreds of initiatives that bring hundreds of billions of VND in benefits to the enterprise.
Mr. Tuan also added that not only valuable initiatives that bring great benefits are recognized, but also small but practical improvements that help improve work efficiency in each position and department are also highly appreciated and promptly rewarded. This is the way the Company inspires creativity in each engineer and worker, helping them to be more motivated to constantly develop their personal capacity and contribute to the overall development of the business.
According to the records of the Provincial Industrial Zones Trade Union, the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" has now spread strongly in many enterprises in the area. Over the past 5 years, 1,684 initiatives for technical improvement and production rationalization have been applied in practice, bringing in hundreds of billions of VND in benefits. Of these, 23 initiatives were recognized at the provincial level, 1,661 initiatives at the grassroots level; 22 outstanding authors were honored to receive the Creative Labor Certificate awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
What is special is that the initiatives all originate from the production practices and daily work of workers. Thanks to that, the ideas are close to reality, helping to improve the work process, increase productivity, ensure labor safety, improve technology and increase production efficiency.
Many businesses have implemented these initiatives into their production lines, creating high added value and contributing to building a professional and modern working environment. Sharing more about the results, Mr. Dinh The Hung, Chairman of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union, affirmed: In order for the movement to be highly effective, the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to actively propose to enterprises to establish a grassroots Initiative Council. The Council is responsible for evaluating, approving and recognizing initiatives in a fair and transparent manner. In addition, the trade union also plays a role in connecting, consulting and providing technical support to individuals with initiatives to create the most favorable conditions for workers to participate and maximize their creativity. Trade unions at all levels also coordinate with business leaders to effectively carry out the work of rewarding and praising individuals and groups with outstanding initiatives, thereby spreading the spirit of competition among all workers.
These efforts have created a working environment that is not only professional but also full of motivation and creativity - an important factor for businesses to develop sustainably in the period of digital transformation and global integration.
