Max McFarlin (from the US) is a famous blogger in the backpacking community and owns a YouTube channel with more than 690,000 followers. Max has been in Vietnam for more than 4 years and currently lives and works mainly in Ho Chi Minh City.

Recently, an American blogger posted a video of his experience with a series of "super-large" dishes in Ho Chi Minh City, making many people curious and excited. In it, Max introduced a hamburger that costs more than 1.2 million VND.

According to Max, when searching for shops in Tan Binh district, he was attracted by a long-standing, popular roast meat shop that displayed a sandwich "bigger than a baby". Max decided to go into the store and ask about the giant sandwich.

"The bread smells good and looks buttery. I wonder how they can make it so big and still taste good," Max wondered as he held the bread in his hand.

Max decided to add 1kg of roast pork, 1kg of roast duck and 1kg of offal to sandwich in the sandwich. It took 3 staff members to complete the giant sandwich. Each layer of cucumber, special meat sauce, roasted meat, onions and chili were neatly arranged and interwoven.

When finished, the cake weighed more than 5kg, making it tiring to carry. According to the male tourist, the cake cost 1,260,000 VND, of which 3kg of meat was calculated according to the listed price of the restaurant.

Three employees helped each other to complete the giant cake.

Max tried a piece of roast meat and commented: "The outside is rich, fatty and crispy." He said that with this flavor, it is not surprising that the restaurant has existed for so long and is so popular.

Max also added that he bought the bread not to enjoy it himself but to share it with everyone. After the bread was carefully packaged, Max gave it to a sanitation worker he met on the street.

"I wanted to cut the cake myself and invite many people, but I believe she will share it with friends and relatives," Max said.

The shop where Max bought the giant sandwich has been serving roast duck and roast pork for over 20 years.

The store staff said that the bread is only a side dish at the shop, imported from a factory owned by a relative of the owner's family. Every day, the shop will display 4-6 "super-large" breads at 4 locations.

If no one buys the cake on a day, the owner will cut it into small pieces, give it away to customers or donate it to charity.

Usually, customers come to buy roast duck, roast pork or buy bread and dumplings from the shop.

According to many diners, the duck here is big, rich, with chewy, sweet meat, thin, golden skin and a distinctive flavor from the marinated ingredients. Diners coming to the restaurant can see many stages of processing and receive the meat fresh from the oven, hot.

Many netizens believe that the restaurant's display is a good way to attract customers' attention. However, many people are concerned that such a large bread is unlikely to have the same aroma, soft inside, and crispy crust as regular bread.
