Quang Tri Provincial Treasury warns budget users about duplicate payments of invoices and documents

In order to improve the quality of customer service transactions and promptly prevent risks in business operations, the State Treasury of Quang Tri province has just issued a document warning about the risk of duplicate payment of invoices and documents of budget spending units.

The Director of the Provincial Treasury informed that through the information technology monitoring system and financial - budget data analysis, the Provincial Treasury discovered that a number of units using the state budget and a number of investors created and submitted payment records with duplicate documents and invoices on the online public service system of the Provincial Treasury.

To prevent the risk of budget-using units paying duplicate documents and invoices, and to strengthen discipline in complying with the law on state finance and budget, the provincial State Treasury recommends that heads of budget-using units strengthen inspection and take measures to strictly control payment documents and invoices of the unit before preparing and sending payment records through the State Treasury, and not to allow the preparation and sending of payment records with duplicate documents.

Duplicate invoice and document payment is when an invoice or original document is generated but sent to the State Treasury twice at different times for payment. The cause of duplicate invoices and documents may be due to the budget user's negligence or mistake in collecting documents and documents to send to the State Treasury for payment, or the budget user intentionally creates duplicate invoices and documents to appropriate budget money.
